Thanks Scott. So far this morning I haven't seen a thing. Still hopeful though! Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk
It looks like 1 doe entry would put us in 2nd place and 2 does entered would put us back in 1st place. There is still plenty of time left in the season to clinch this contest guys. Let's do this!
Congratulations to your Dad Joe. 15 years is a long time to go without getting a deer. That's dedication. I know where you get it now. I'm sure you were ecstatic when you received that text.
It looks like I lost the Millionaire property for next year because anti-hunting neighbors are pressuring the property owner. Big bummer! But, my wife said I can hunt Indiana next year, so that will be my first out of state hunt!
Josh, sorry to hear that. Maybe the deer will eat all of the Anti's landscaping and you'll get called back to thin the heard. It takes so long to figure out a property and they you lose it. That just sucks. I've never hunted Indiana but it has to be good. Maybe you can do some scouting over the holidays there to see the travel corridors. This time a year trails really get beaten down.
I've been working in the state park all week. Today I was getting into some good buck sign, so I sent a pin to my coworker that's new to hunting. 3 steps later I spotted this little 4 point side. Maybe I do know what I'm doing out here...
That’s awesome. Kind of early to be dropping. Could have been from fighting. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I thought I would give us all an update on where we stand and who may or may not still be hunting and can get us back in the running. There's still plenty of season left guys. Let's put some meat in the freezer. Good Luck Team! goodluck out there guys! I am closing on my first house this weekend so i will be busy with holidays and moving the next two weekends, after that i am hoping to get out down in MD for some more fun, might try some public land down there and see what happens. I have a buddy that has a group of guys that do some late season bow drives so i may tag along for that!
Congratulations on your first house Adam. Houses coming on the market around here are only staying on for a day or two and usually sell for more than asking price.
we got lucky and stumbled onto a new build that had just gone on the market and somehow our realtor got them to accept our offer of only very slightly over asking price!
Hoping to get one last hunt sunday morning. just depends on how the family is feeling. Wife and our youngest have head colds and are miserable. hoping they feel better and i can sneak out. will pop anything that's in range.
Merry Christmas! He survived the gun seasons, I'm still planning his demise. I need an east wind, watching the weather and waiting...
Merry Christmas everybody! Next Friday or Saturday will be my last hunt for the season. Saturday is closing day for us here in south carolina. Hoping that one will drop either of those days. Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk
I got a call from my Dad last evening. He's in Ohio still trying to get his buck. He took his granddaughter (my niece) along this this trip because she wants to shoot a buck. There are two ten points on my Dad's target list but haven't been showing up in daylight until this past week when he wasn't there. This one came in a couple minutes before last shooting light ended and she hit it a little high, which is why my Dad called. He explained the shot was high and forward and that he watched it run out the logging road about a 100 yards and lost sight of it. I told him he better wait a couple of hours or wait until tomorrow morning. He said it was supposed to start raining at 4:00 AM. Needless to say he went out a couple of hours later and found it dead. To say my niece was a little excited is an understatement.
