Sorry for the late update guys! We had a frantic few hours once my buck hit the ground and then I had a contact rip and get stuck in my eye...I'm at urgent care now.

So, I went out with Em and had the Cheeto buck come right in. The opportunity was too perfect to pass up.

 

I'm sitting at my bar this morning drinking coffee putting off an oil change and brake and rotor replacement.
Can't hunt on public on sundays here.

 

Hopefully they can get it out for you! That always is a painful experience.

 

Love the pictures with your kids Josh. Hopefully they can get that contact out quickly.

 

It's like 1/4 of a lens. I can feel it up under the eye lid, but can't get it to move.

 

Damn Josh, hope they can get it out quick and with as little pain as possible!! Congrats on the buck again, super pumped for you!

 

Took 2 doctors, some numbing eye dye and a black light to find it. I'm all good now!

 

Thanks guys! I'm guessing 115 points for the team. I will measure when I get him out for the taxidermist...I'm having a euro done.

I'm glad they were able to get it out. Hopefully it didn't scratch anything.

 

Josh you did your part, a buck and a doe. Now it's time for the rest of us to get it done.

 

Locked N Knocked for the afternoon sit. A doe and two fawns seen already. Wind is supposed to die down toward dusk so should be good.

 

I'm heading out in the morning. Gonna sit until 2-3 unless I shoot something earlier. Anything brown is on the menu and will have an arrow sent its way!

 

Should be a cool morning for a hunt.

 

Yeah, it is supposed to be in the low 40s, possibly high 30s. I think I'm gonna hunt over an active scrape line hoping to catch him coming back to bed a bit late because of the cold weather. Not 100% sure though. I might go back to the area I've been in recently, the transition line between mountain laurel and princess pines. It has the most/freshest sign I've seen.

 

I'm getting my camo washed after yesterday's mishap with the bear spray. Bear season opens tomorrow morning here in SC. So I'm toting my bear and deer tags along. I have a spot that should be good for both haven't been to it for a couple of weeks so hopefully there will be a red arrow and a gut pile.

Congrats Josh! That’s something they will never forget!!

 

The two of us have off all week right? That should be some points for the team! Going to get down to 47 here tonight and the high tomorrow is only 60… going to try to cut the giant 8 off on his way back from the field tomorrow morning

 

Yessir! It should be a good week we are getting into the 50s at night here I believe.
