The only pictures I get like that have multiple birds in them flying up. I hate bird pictures. Don't like the ground hog either.
If I did that here at home in South Central PA, I would have every bear in the neighborhood hit it. They tend to hit our trash cans in the neighborhood several times a year.
Pardon the crap pic, but is this 8 a shooter in your opinion? The pics from behind always throw me off. I haven't bow hunted yet. Found out the night before season that my mother in law has leukemia. We have been making several trips to see her and free time has been limited. I'll be in the stand this weekend for the first time. Finally checked cams tonight after work. A few bucks on camera behind the house, but most need a year or 2.
He's on the fence for me. I would probably have to see him in person before making a decision. He's real nice though!
Does he get your heart going? Do you have limited time on stand (sounds like you do)? Full send baby! Shoot what makes you happy!
As mentioned above, I put 50 points on the board tonight. No Cheetos were harmed. My little man was SO stoked!
Congratulations again to you and Gunnar. I'm glad you convinced him to wait another 20 minutes. I remember telling my kids to pump it up, when they said they had to go at an inopportune time.
I'd be shooting him all day long! That's a dandy of a buck. As Aaron said if it makes your heart race go for it! Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk
My parents can't get back to Montana from Southern Illinois. Gillette WY got a ton of snow and their only route is closed. Yet it's 80's in Ohio right now...
That's just Crazy. That must be the cold front they are talking about coming in this weekend. That should get the deer up and moving.
Lottery hunt cameras have picked up a little big, got a good amount of pictures yesterday but nothing this morning. Nothing impressive antler wise but the body size on these deer is insane... they are so well fed.
Nice! My honest advice, take it for what it is worth. Don't pass on anything the first day, that you would shoot on the last day, trophy-wise. I know from experience that is easier said than done. When I was rut hunting in Illinois 2013-15, A few times early on in the hunt I passed on low 130's bucks holding out for bigger, and by the last day was praying for a 130s to come by. What is meant to be is meant to be. What presents itself is what is meant to be. There's a good chance that the real big boys mentioned won't move during daylight, or if they do, it won't be far from their bedding. That is something I had a hard time grasping while in Illinois. The reality is, they are still deer and big for a reason, they are still smart even though not pressured. I had 3, 21-hour drives home from Illinois empty-handed to come to that realization.
I'm hoping with the cold front coming in this weekend you will get more activity next week. Only time will tell. There is so much food in the woods right now, they don't have to really move very far.
man that really puts it in perspective! I will have a hard time passing any legal buck, but want to try to hold out for something trophy sized to me lol! But when one is in front of me idk how much will power I will have lol
