Works been so crazy that it's made it hard to keep up with it all! I feel like I'm completely lost reading some of these posts and LFTS posts. Definitely need to tell my boss I need to time to check the forum through out the day
Now that's funny. I know what you mean. It is hard to keep up sometimes. I have an even harder time in Ohio because cell service is not very good.
What's even funnier is that my boss told me its going to be a slow week. But he has me driving all over to do 5 minute jobs. I've spent as much time in the truck this week as I have actually installing trim.
Are any of you getting Mature bucks on camera in daylight? I'm getting 2.5 year olds and younger, but since the season started, I have not had any.
Sorry to hear that Joe. I would have thought the new moon would have them moving in the morning but it's showing that evenings are better to hunt.
getting out tonight, will be a very short sit, getting off work early to hang a stand for my dad and then going to sneak over to the spot i hunted this weekend and set up the saddle, hopefully be set up by 5-5:30 and hunt the last hour and a half
Good Luck Adam! My cameras are showing their starting to show up the last 30 - 45 minutes before dark. You should be setup and ready for them. Just make sure you spray down after setting up that stand. I would be soak and wet after that.
I actually removed my cameras due to someone pulling and clearing my cards. But also got a bit of information today from one of the trim subs. Apparently the rut is already in full swing down here. He said that was watching doe's being run by bucks last Saturday. He's been hunting these woods his whole life. So I'm going to trust him and adjust my setup accordingly. Only deer I've seen so far is the one I missed the other week. Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk
Resting up tomorrow. I think I'll go out Friday morning. I'm going to another concert Friday night, so no Saturday morning hunt for me.
That sucks when someone pulls your cards. That happened to me one time years ago. After that I setup 2 cams. I put one about 10 feet up in a tree standing on a 4 wheeler and pointed it at the other camera to catch who did it. I never did have anybody come back but I would have got them if they did. This was on private land so we could have prosecuted trespassing. If your setting up on Public, you could still catch them using those tactics. Most people don't go around looking 10 feet up in a tree for a camera.
