It's been pretty tough. I only saw 3 deer last season. And only capitalized on one. But the wma I hunt mainly is known for being difficult to hunt. But I didn't have much time last year to scout the land so I was often going in blind. Yeah I think I did past mount olive when I moved. I moved down here 2.5 years ago.
OH man this should be a fun team to be on, I don't know all of you and some could say know too many of you (Joe...LOL). Best of luck fellas, @tacklebox is a killer and most likely will throw some points on the board in KY for you guys!
Nick here. I'm 28 live in Myrtle Beach SC. I'm a trim carpenter during the week. I've hunted solely public land since 2016. Saturdays are generally the only day I can get out. Unless the boss man let's me go early one day then I head straight to the stand. I have a whole week off in October for bear season. But I will have my deer tags in tow as well so if a nice one walks by I'm taking my shot.
I finally checked cameras over the weekend. I had one buck over 120", lots of does/fawns. Hopefully when the acorns drop and the corn starts getting shelled, the bucks will show up on camera.
Man those are some good ones! I like the Hold my Beer (gotta love some buschhhhh), Horn Hub, or Sloppy Does... because thats most likely all ill shoot lol
So the last three guys we're waiting on haven't been on since Tuesday... Hoping that's not a bad sign...
My name is Scott. I'm 57 in a couple of days and live in South Central PA. We have 2 farms in Southeast Ohio. I was able to harvest this 165" buck in Ohio last year the day after Christmas. His H1 circumferences are 6".
Where at in SE Ohio? I had 100 acres in Vinton county for a minute. My coworker gave me permission to hunt his family farm...until the ACTUAL owner found out and started shooting at my dad on opening day. Good times!
