No dice this mornin boys! Humid and nasty in the woods. The thermacell could barely keep up. It's supposed to be warm the rest of the week and into next week. I should be able to get out for a few sits, just need to be smart about it. Thanks for all the support!

It's hard to get excited about hunting when it's hot and humid. I seriously don't know how they do it in the south. It was 14 degrees the morning I shot the 165" deer I got last year on 12/26. I can always put more clothes on but you sure can't take more off.

I regularly hunt in shorts and a t-shirt during the first couple weeks of Ohio's season. Pretty sure I'm allergic to heat!

It's time to pick my form for last year's buck. Do you guys have any favorites?

That depends if you want a regular wall mount or wall pedestal mount. I have several McKenzie 6900 Wall Pedestal mounts and 8600 Semi Sneak Wall mount.

Take a look and see what you like.

Just a wall mount. My dude charges $150 more for a pedestal and that's not in the cards this time.

That's crazy to charge $150 more. Mine charges $25 only because the form cost $25 more.

I HATE, HATE, ABSOLUTELY HATE THE HEAT!!! Everything about it pisses me off. Some of the meds I'm on make me sweat excessively as well, making life miserable when the temp is above 75 degrees. I'd gladly deal with a Nor'easter every week than have to live in a puddle of sweat anytime I step outdoors late May-September.

Thanks! I have 2 more that are PA bucks but they are 115" - 120". Good for PA bucks but the rest are mostly OHIO. I think 2 are from IL when we had a lease out there in the early 2000's.

Wow and your in RI where it should be cooler than OH and PA. My wife and I went to Alaska for our 25th wedding anniversary the first week of August and it got up to 85 degrees in Fairbanks the one day we were there.

PSA: Don't ever ask a Facebook taxidermy group for their favorite forms. I was told that is my taxi's job and the customer should have ZERO say in the final product.

I have 2 semi-sneaks and a skull cap. Low basement ceilings limit what I can do with my mounts.
