Bear definitely makes some great bows! I'm still using my Bear Encounter from 2012! She's gonna get a new set of strings after the season is over in January.
I've been shooting Bear Bows most of my life. Had one Mathews and one Golden Eagle years ago. I'm shooting a Bear Marshall now, smooth draw and a nice shooting bow.
Season starts Oct 1st for Michigan. Hoping to tag a doe first 2 weekends as last 3 i will not be in a tree. Have a stupid faimly wedding on the 16th, then i'm in florida with wife and friends for a weeks vacation. Not the ideal time to be away, but can't say no to a week in the sun. Currently our best buck on our small farm. 4 point restriction in place for our zone, so hoping he comes by.
Good day y’all. Appears we have some solid shooter on the team. I live in southeast Louisiana. I’ll be hunting my little farm here and family farms in north central Kansas again this year. My best buck was 2019. Kansas buck scored 171 3/8s. So far this year the cameras in Kansas and Louisiana haven’t yielded and mature shooters. It’s early so time will tell.
Russ that is an awesome buck you took in 2019. That's a dream buck for all of us. You may not be seeing anything on camera yet, but once November gets here, it all changes. Where I live in PA, I only ever see does, until November rolls in.
Similar here in Louisiana. I run feeders year around down here to keep the does in tight. Kansas I usually get report from friends and family of buck sightings. No reports so far but the deer population is up. I was beck there two weeks ago hanging stands and cameras. Just 3-4 does and fawns on every farm.
Welp...my 3 year old just got quarantined from daycare with a rona exposure, so I will be home from work for 2 weeks. Should be plenty of time to get all my hunting chores done!
Seeing Russ’s heart shot reminds me of a doe I shot a few years back with a rage HD. cut the heart in half
Anyone got any deer losing velvet already? This guy kinda shocked me. Just ran my cameras this afternoon because my folks are coming into town tomorrow.
Welp the antlered deer drought on my trail cameras has come to an end. Nothing huge but antlers are antlers and I’m just happy he is here lol Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
