Yeah I'm getting that itch to go back out. Haven't been out since I shot my doe last week. Actually picking that deer up from the processor this afternoon. 6lbs of bologna and the regular assortment of cuts should last a while :)

Heading back out this Saturday and then on the 2nd I'll be out again but hunting some public land.

Keep at it! That's longer than I would do this time of year. Sometimes you see a lot and sometimes you don't.

Let's just say I didn't see a lot. Only a lone doe came in and I think it was the same doe that came in with the one I took. I'm not hunting the next two weeks, but after that it's on!!

Haven't had a good quantity of deer like this in a while. I see some homemade deer jerky, deer chili, and deer meatloaf in the near future! The bologna is delicious by the way :tu:

Heading out tomorrow morning to try a new spot and check the cam I setup a week ago!

Skipped this mornings hunt. Going to head out around 1p today. Gonna try to setup a mock scrape, one with a buck lure dropper and one sprayed with vanilla just to see what happens. Should be able to put my camera on them then climb up for the evening's sit.

    Any luck tonight?

    Good luck Monday!

Didn't see anything on the stand this evening from 3-7. Setup a mock scrape and checked a camera though. I'll probably be back in a week to see how the scrape does..

    Keep at it guys!

My state finially opened this weekend - should get my first sit in next week hopefully.... I'll see what the wind/weather looks like... I can't shot any does in my home counties this year due to low deer populations but planning to hit the rut really hard since my gound doesn't generally hold many shooters early season...

First buck on camera for this year. Don't know if I'd let him walk. MD deer don't get huge on a regular basis but he looks young and he's got a good spread for a 6pt so I'd be curious to see him next year.

Its my first time in this spot and there's still time to find out if he's around here regularly.

I setup the scrape pretty much right where he's standing so we'll see in the coming weeks how that goes.

Nothing moving in the woods here in SW Ohio. I think the daytime temps are still too warm and they are spending time in the plots getting fat for the rut and winter. I sat for 13 hours on Saturday and 4 this morning and saw no deer. I just have to be patient, it will happen, like it always does.
