Here in MI we have early firearm (doe only) on private land starts Sept 17-22 but opening of bow is Oct 1 for me. i will be out for early doe because you can use a bow and i will do my best to knock down a doe early for both of my teams. 50pts for us and meat in the freezer for mama.
Here in SC some parts of the state opened this past weekend. One of my properties opens September 1st and the other is September 15th. The property that opens on the 1st is bucks only for the first 2 weeks. I'm so ready to hit the woods. My Dad was at the farm today and called me at 12:30 because there were 6 deer in the beans. In the middle of the hot day! Less than 2 weeks to go.....
Oct 1st here in Oklahoma. So do we have a team name or an avatar? Or are we just so good we don't need that stuff :D
I'm getting ready to start in MO on Sept. 1. I don't know how much I will hunt the first couple of weeks. I still have to get two food plots planted. We went in to disc them up last week and will plant the first weekend of Sept. After that it's game on. I still take my time though, I really love that first and second week of Nov. That's when I will take vacation and be in the woods almost all day for about nine days.
I got until Sept. 12th here, but Ill be ready when it does come in. I just got my bow shooting right and the broadheads are humming in there.
Just checked the MO regs, glad I did. I don't start until Sept 15th. I thought is was the 1st. I don't think the game warden would like me starting two weeks early.
As far as a name, how about TEAM USA , the Self-Proclaimed, Official Team of the United States of America. jk....That's not good, I have no ideas for a name right now.
Antler Force, Team Lung Dunk, Carbon Injection, The Hooves Up Maulers, Whitetail Down....I'm struggling now.
Hey guys, just checking in to see whats up. I've been out camping on the boat the past few days with the family. 10 days till whitetail season for me, got a few last things to tidy up is about it. I can't wait.
My buddy and I went to my farm and watched the bean field on Friday night. We saw between 20-30 deer in a matter of 2 hours. A lot of them walked right in front of the lock on we've got on the edge of the field. Most of them were does but there were several young bucks. I decent buck came out right at dark but it was hard to tell how good he was from 350 yards away with 8x binoculars! I have family that lives on both sides of the farm and they have told me of at least 2 shooter bucks that they've seen. The good thing is that none of them hunt. Season opens on the 1st!!
alright guys we gotta get us a name picked before I start hunting this Sunday! Bowspec, I like all your names! lets pick one of those
