Elevated Practice is a must if your shooting from a stand. Me and a buddy would take turns moving the target around and changing angles to make it more realistic.

Last year had a WIDE buck on camera beginning of October, then disappeared. Never saw him rest of the year. Screenshot_20191007-220044_Photos.jpeg

That is a really old buck. What a dream deer! Loving the character of those 2 outside points, don't think I've ever seen anything like that.

I changed my camera to video today. Hopefully I can get good video of him. I look forward to the card pulls just as much as climbing in a stand.I can't wait. 3 weeks away.

Do you have any trail cam photos this year on target bucks?

Negative, haven't put a trail cam out in several years now. Tried it a couple seasons and think I may have impacted things negatively as I would only get to check them on days I hunted.

Never seen a buck from the stand that I got on cam. I wanted to hang some this spring when I was going to turkey hunt and let them sit all summer and pull them first hunt. Ended up procrastinating on that as well

I've never seen the buck I kill until he gets shot, keeps it interesting and I don't have to let something walk because I'm targeting a certain buck that may or may not appear.

Think it would be fun to hunt a specific buck one day though.

I like Legends of the Fall. We need to get you voted in as Captain and get a name going for this team. Everyone must have went out of town this past weekend. Not much chatter.

Little update, been out in Idaho the past few days after elk. On Saturday I saw around 100, but couldn't get the wind right to get closer than 500 yards. Yesterday, I got 40 yards from 4 cows and saw some bulls, but no shot opportunities. Super super windy today and 38 degrees out currently. Big change from the past few days of nearly 80.

I'm good with captain if everyone else is.

I went down to Grafton, IL this past weekend to get out of the house. Was a nice change of pace.

I'm good with Legends of the Fall as well, could even modify the old logo

Did same thing a couple seasons ago

No sense on waiting for the rest to show back up I guess.

Legends of the Fall is awesome!! I vote cls74 for captain. This cool weather have anyone else getting the itch?! It feels like fall out there today, and the forecast in Michigan looks very cool. I can't wait for those leaves to start turning colors and falling, seems like that is always the signal for me to start hunting hard.

Ok, try this Avatar if you wish to use one. Had to position the lettering differently so it would read inside the circle condensing thingamajig.
