I can't wait to see who gets the next kill! I'm thinking it will be Skylar with a mule deer buck.

I can hunt all the way to January 17th this season if I need to chase a doe, Hope it doesn't come down to that. I'd like to have both entries in before Thanksgiving.

Work will not be a problem, with everything going on and the election looming I've already been told overtime is unlikely the remainder of the year.

When does everyone stop hunting? Whether it is calling it quits for family or season close.

I'll update the first post on when everyone is likely to end their season so it's a quick glance and we'll know who is still at it.

i'll be hanging stands in the morning and checking a few cams. hoping the giant eight shows himself.
that could add some serious points to our score.

Doesn't PA have some ridiculously wacky season dates? Most seasons out during the rut or something like that?

Man, your talking end of season already and I still have 2 weeks before season starts. I will hunt a little into December if it is not freezing. I like sitting out when there is snow down. There are not any food plots around for me to sit over that late in the season so my goal this year is to get it done early season. This is the first year I've gone to the back edge of the property. Found nice sign and trails. Can't wait to get out and see what happens. Good luck.

 Not talking end of season by any means, I have to wait until Oct. 1st to start.

There'e a few states out there that have stupid dates for their season.

PA archery season would always end the 1st Saturday in November. They changed it this year and it end on November 20th. They always wanted the deer to have 3 weeks to settle down before the rifle season. Archery deer don't need time to settle down. The second archery season always comes back in the day after Christmas.

I definitely will see a bunch. Hopefully I'm able to get one! I am fairly picky though, so we'll have to see what I can turn up. For my first few hunts of the season I generally won't stalk unless it's a good 4x4 that's 150+ or if it has some unique character. In the past I have been able to find one or two over a weekend.

Here is a video I put together of some clips from the past few years of mule deer hunting and scouting. I also put it in a couple whitetail clips at the end! This should give you guys an idea of what I generally see.

I'll head out Thursday night and start Friday morning! I'll be with a buddy of mine, and we'll flip a coin to see who gets first stalk/shot. Should be a good time!

Some nice bucks in there, that's a whole different game than what we have here. Goes with the territory I guess, it's probably as second nature to you as it is for me to climb a tree in a specific location catching them on their feet.

Little luck goes a long ways with both

I am looking forward to your hunts though, nothing easy about it.

On the 3rd Friday from today I hunt... errrr kill.

I'll have 3 days opening weekend, Friday will likely be my best opportunity as other hunters will probably be out there as well.

No drama amongst us out there, but no real coordination either.

First doe in range gets it, don't care if it is Oct. 2nd or Nov 7th. Done deal.
