Last visit tomorrow before the season starts. Last camera pull and trim up shooting lanes. Let you know if I get anything interesting.
Sounds good. I got my range markers put in and sighted in at 60 yards this afternoon Sent from my iPhone 4s using Tapatalk
Been moving into my apartment for school today and finally got everything situated. Hopefully get the food plots in when I go back home this weekend.
Hey fellas sorry for the late check in... Have been a little busy lately... I'm from northern Indiana and looking forward to this season! Have new land that I am hunting this year (couple acre swamp with about 15 acre hardwood around that and bordered by corn and bean fields... Yeah I'm pumped lol... No bucks on camera yet but I'm not too worried. Looks like this will be a good group of guys and looking forward to the season with you!!!
I have 5 small ones all less than a quarter of an acre, but I only hunt 2 or 3 of them. The others are to just keep the deer drawn to our property.
I took my family out to dinner and this is what we saw on the way to the restaurant. Sent from my iPhone 4s using Tapatalk
Good morning Team 5!! How was everyone's weekend? Mine was pretty productive. I got a dump run accomplished, shower removed and found my leaky pipe, sold my four wheeler (to pay for the shower) and enjoyed a nice dinner with the family last night.
Jeez, wreck. Sounds like you knocked a ton off that honeydo list. If I ever got that much accomplished on a weekend it would distort Ms. Double's perception. It's all about managing expectations. My computer is being weird and doesn't show all the images people post. I'm assuming you posted an image above, but I can't see it. I hung my first two trail cams yesterday. This camera is on a tree that I have a two-man ladder stand hung on. The area directly in front of the stand is not very long, but it is perpendicular to a trail that I believe gets quite a bit of activity. I angled the camera down the trail towards a corn field, hoping to get a read on the activity on this trail. Now I just gotta be patient and stay out of the woods and let the camera work. Good thing the property takes over an hour to get to, makes it easier to resist the temptation. Any thoughts on when I should go check these cards? Might be kinda soon, but I'm thinking maybe next weekend. Season starts Sept. 13th. I wanna check the cards to help determine which stand to hunt, but I don't wanna keep putting my scent out there. Any thoughts?
And here is the view from my other stand. The photo above was taken yesterday. The photo below was taken last fall...
I'm getting that list as clear as possible because I plan on spending the last half of my season hunting.
I would wait until the weekend before to check your cams. I would also spray down to minimize your scent trail. It sounds like a good plan. Sent from my iPhone 4s using Tapatalk
Marshall just bought a Moultrie M-880 from Cabela's. We'll get it set up and hopefully start getting some ideas on where the deer are moving.
How much longer should we wait before asking for a replacement? Sent from my iPhone 4s using Tapatalk

I just got the ok from my boss to trade a Friday for a Thursday during my season. So know I'll have 8 days to hunt. We are planning on running two cameras starting early October. I do plan on getting out I September and timing our walk to our spot. Hopefully I can finish my renovation project with enough left over to get a phone scope mount for my scope, instead of having to make one. Sent from my iPhone 4s using Tapatalk
