View attachment 49448 Here is the area that I scouted this weekend. With not hunting until mid-November, we (my brother in law, Marshall) are scouting access. My hunting area has great areas, but they are mostly blocked by local ranchers. The flag is where we started the tracker (We really started at the blue dot at the end), the diamonds were obstacles, circles are encounters, stands are where we would set up to scope, and the camp is where we thought of setting up a camp. There is a spot down at the bottom of the draw where we'd like to put a trail cam. We are in the process of talking my father in law into letting us use his Rhino. We found a road that would take us up by where we had our first encounter. If we got the Rhino, we would set up camp down in the campground area below and drive up every morning/evening.
I think you guys should be worried because I HAVEN'T seen MNElkNut shooting lately! But no worries he will find his arrows, lodged in the oak tree 6 feet to the right! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Checking in. This will be my 3rd season of deer hunting. Still very much a newb & still trying to learn as much as I can about this little obsession I have fallen into. Live in Stillwater, Minnesota, hunt mostly over in Sconny. Looking forward to another season that is quickly approaching us. Primarily looking to keep my eyes & ears open, soaking up the knowledge I can.
Whats up guys whats up? My name is Tyler, I would've posted earlier but I've been busy moving into my apartment and started my first last day of college. Im in Champaign and will be hunting public land around the area. I have found some pretty decent spots this year that I can't wait to hunt. I also have a couple spots back north about 3 hours that i have some nice bucks moving though. Hopefully I can put one down for my first buck and to help the team out! I look forward to see how well we do. Is it Oct 1st yet?
Congrats on the new apartment. What are you studying at school? And I am still trying to take my first deer. Hopefully we can do it together this year. Hunt Hard. Pray Harder.
I don't have any good team names in mind yet, but I hereby nominate wreckless as Captain. As far as working the Number 5 into our team name- reminds me of Minnesota Wild hockey prospect Matthew Dumba. Most prospects are issued a number by the team for each of their training camps. Most don't get to choose their number until they have been selected to be on the big club. Dumba has been issued number 55 so far. The nameplate above his locker reads: Dumba55
I'm studying fire service technology. So I hope to get on a full time department eventually. I'm taking a EMT basic class this fall so coming the end of the semester I'll take the national test then work on getting a job on an ambulance for awhile. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Anyone get out today and check cams or shoot? I won't be able to shoot tonight, we are in a flash flood warning right now. Hunt Hard. Pray Harder.
