Team 5 - Brow Tine Brotherhood

Marshall and I shot a little bit tonight. He picked up a Block target and we wanted to try it out. Man can you tell that I haven't practiced in a while. Looking like we'll try and head out next weekend for another scouting trip.

 

I still haven't hunted. The day before the opener my mom fell ill so I've been helping my parents ever since with all my spare time. She just got out of the hospital and they are sending her for cancer tests. Keep her in your prayers.
As much as I hate doing this, it might make sense for you to select an alternate in my place. I have no idea when I'll get to hunt until,she improves.

 

You're a part of the Brotherhood, actively hunting or not. The contest isn't about winning for me, it's about getting to know the members of the forum. I'll keep your mom in my prayers. I hope she feels better.

I can't get the video to play as a video on my phone, so I'll have to watch it this weekend. Headed out scouting again this weekend. I overheard one of my coworkers talking about hunting around my area this weekend. So I'm a little worried.

I am showing cows this weekend but will be on fall break Monday and Tuesday and will be hunting then.

 

Just checked the weather forecast. Should be low 40's if we can get an early start Saturday.

Just a reminder, when we post a harvested deer to the scorecard thread, we need to include the following:

Two photos that have the deer, hunter and bow in them
Date & Time of kill
Team number
Breakdown in scoring for all bucks over 50"

I guess there have been some missing, so here's the reminder. I know it's none of us yet, because we haven't hunted hard yet (or at all in my case), so right now it's just a friendly reminder.

 

Thanks for the heads up. I noticed that there was issues too.

If I can get on the road in time today and on m way north I'm going to try and hunt tonight other wise I'll be up at at in the morning then an afternoon sit as well. Sunday morning I think I'll be in a blind and see if that works out if I don't put something down before hand.

Doubt I'll get time to go out this weekend. Putting new flooring down in the living room Saturday then going to a bonfire party thing in the evening. Depending on how much I drink... I probably won't go out Sunday morning and we might do a evening goose hunt Sunday.

 

Doesn't look like I'll get out tonight. By the time I get to the farm it would be pushing it. I don't want to bump anything out of there. I'll hit it up tomorrow

Here is where we are looking at scouting tomorrow. It's about an hour drive from the house. Sunrise is around 6:50-ish and the temps will be in the low 40's until 9 am, so hopefully we have some scouting success.
