We have a 2 mile by 2 mile square that we like to drive around on the roads at our hunting area just to look for deer just before dark. We have about 700 acres of that to hunt. A couple of years ago, I found out my 87 year old Gramma likes to go look for deer, so every year I make a point of it to take her. We got out last week and in that 8 mile drive we saw 68 deer. yep 68. No big bucks, but a couple with potential. Kinda fun to see Gramma get excited over deer!

Always enjoy watching my kids get excited to see deer running around. Glad to see that Gramma still enjoys it.

I have been unable to get out to MD yet to hunt. Work has me tied up and weekends are the only free time I have with the family. Wv opening day is coming and will easily get some points on the board for us.

Just got back in from the morning hunt and saw 3 does and 3 fawns. Didn't shoot any because of still having fawns with them but they may not be so lucky in the next week or two.

Saw another doe with twins yesterday evening. Going to try to get back out this afternoon if I get the grass cut in time.

Standing here at work watching my first major project coming closer to completion. Man, I do wish I was out hunting though.

I wish, Im just mapping out what stand(location) I want to go to next wednesday morning for opening day. I have a couple in mind but it keeps changing due to the wind. It will be a last minute decision though.

I'll be on the mountain Saturday morning. I'll take something to clear trees to make the walk in that much better.

The weather is calling for the first wet snow of the year at the higher elevations. Hopefully it's enough to keep them not as low for the rifle season that starts on Wednesday.

    Anyone going out this weekend?

Hour by hour weather forecast for tomorrow. It's the annual hot air balloon festival in the morning, so I won't be getting out until around 7:30 - 8:00 am tomorrow.

I got my bag repacked and was able to figure out how to get all my optics in the bag so I can use the outside straps for my bow, which was the reason I bought the bag.

Here's the map from my trip out this morning. I took a couple of other pictures that I'll post here in a bit from my phone.
