    I don't have a 150 to hunt.
Best is maybe 140 but I've already passed him up.
He looked young and wanna see him grow.
You guys (and MANY OTHERS) will find this totally strange but...
I have so many properties where I live that have way bigger bucks to hunt yet I drive 140 miles 1 way to hunt my own piddly little acres.

I can leave home and hunt probably over 2000 acres of WAY BETTER acres within 10 minutes of private ground mostly sole permission.
Seeing 150" bucks here are almost common.
    Maybe I need a "***** slap" lol.
Truth be told, I'd rather go to my cabin and relax when I want, walk within 250 yards and climb into one of many stands I have set up.
I've shot over 200 deer (bow) and my priorities have changed.
I just wanna enjoy hunting now and feel best when hunting my own.
I know it may sound bizarre to you guys but...

I totally get it. Have a prime farm of 350 acres that historically holds giants. But I love chasing public land deer lol makes no sense…but I do get it. We sure could use a 140 right now though hahahah

I've always stuck with, don't change how you hunt for the contest concept, so no judgements here. I've let some hammer 8s walk years past that probably pissed off teammates seeing a 130+ score walk by me at 15 yards. I hunted property that had 150 to 180 deer tho, so that was the reasoning. Do what you like, just kill some deer. So...go kill some deer fellas.

I'm going to try and get out one more time before I head to Iowa. I've got a wedding and my son's college graduation coming up so that is going to cost me some days in a tree.

Headed out to the mountains tomorrow for the feast gathering. I may be able to sneak in tomorrow night, but I doubt it. All day Friday and Saturday are gonna see my arse in a tree. Hoping that wide 8 shows.

Happy Thanksgiving team! Enjoy time with the family or whatever you're getting into. Relax, reflect and rejoice in all the good things in this insane world.

Oh yeah and kill some deer.

Thanks RR. You all as well.
    Sat this afternoon.
Had one of the 3 year olds at about 50 yards but he's one I wanna see grow.
Didn't have time to shower. Wind switched and got busted by a few does. I'm not used to that!
Dad (82) may come visit mid day tomarro.
Will whip him up a good meal if he does.
