Sorry Dave. I deleted the post before you replied. I meant it it pure fun but after thinking for a few minutes I thought it sounded kind of cocky and that’s something I try not to be.

When the freezer is topped out, ehd has slammed your herd, and you’re a public land warrior…you get a little toasty every now and again hahahah. After a month of nothing but one spike and a four point here and there..you really question wth you’re doing out there chasing a ghost hahahah

Sorry been awhile since I checked in. Wish I had better news. My rut vacation was a wash with 70+ temps and some personal things that happened. Nov 6 stalked a buck with doe and shot over his back 135-145”. Then today same thing, felt great and again shot right over his back so I’ll be checking bow over to see if it’s me or the bow. That buck was easily 130s. I feel like such a loser at this point. Trying to keep my head in the game

Only advice I have is to keep at it. Shoot that bow a lot and focus on your form, but really just shoot and let it feel comfortable again. We've all missed, or worse, wounded em. It happens all the time unfortunately.

Here’s the one I missed this morning, crossing same spot , that creek crossing is where my stand is. Every couple days he comes thru there around 7:30. Don’t have todays photos yet but sucks, I hit 25yards all day long, he was broad side, standing still, looking opposite direction so idk I’m pissed[IMG]

He's a dandy. Really sounds like you might get another shot at him tho. 3rd times the charm?

Hey bud you’re getting encounters…if it wasn’t a yardage issue I’d definitely assume an equipment issue. Unless you’re squeezing it off while your pins coming down lol keep at it man! You’ll get one!

I killed a cull buck this morning. It was crazy cold and windy but I got it done. He was only a half rack but it was a chip shot and I need to focus on filling the freezer moving forward. I'll get him posted asap[IMG]
