Currently on the hunt for freezer paper ha. It may be tomorrow before I score. I’m gonna finish my year out trying to get a doe with the recurve. I’m allowed one more deer in one county I hunt. Tagged out in the other. If I could find some private land somewhere else I could shoot 3 more doe total but I’d say I’ll be doing good to get one with the recurve. Up to you fellas now! I'm getting out in the morning even though I didn't think I could. It's going to be a blizzard but hey crazier things have happened Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk
I felt like I was in a blizzard yesterday before I shot mine lol! Smashing me in the face and completely covered me. Had to wipe my arrow off before I shot hahaha cool experience though. But man he keeps getting smaller and smaller every time I look at him hahahah Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Close call tonight on a dandy. If he does that again tomorrow, I'll be closer. Doubt he will but I'll be there.
On stand this morning for the gun opener with my smoke pole. It’s tradition for me to sit my old man’s stand opening day of gun season to honor him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hey team. My target buck showed up at 6 a.m. this morning. I was working and it was totally screwing me up. Bout 11:30, I pulled the pin and drove 140 miles to my cabin. When I got here it was a mini blizzard. 11* and 30+winds. The only stand I had for a s.w. wind would have been BRUTALL!. I couldn't do it. I elected to just stay and watch windows. Had the woodstove cranked. Bout hour n half before dark, deer were moving all around. By design, I've left it real thick around me. I watched a big doe at about 50 yards just standing (for about 10 minutes), had a feeling. Caught movement and there he was. He chased her around a bit but I lost them when they went down by the river. I tried sneaking out of my cabin and running to a log pile that is stacked for cover. The doe came out and caught me in mid crouch. He was ripping the ctap out of a tree right behind her. Total pre occupied. Had a cold standoff but she finally turned and he followed. Tickled pink he made it through another gun season.
First time I've actually seen him this year. He won't many point to our teams total as he's got one side broke off.
I’d say we have a fighting chance if everyone lands a couple a piece haha I know how burnt out I was getting but hopefully everyone keeps the fire lit! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Sat with a gun today and not only did I not see much, I didn't hear that many shots. So I'm going to go out with the bow tomorrow and see what I see. Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk
How can someone be burned out in November? I don’t start getting burned out until sometime in February. Get out after them guys!
