I feel a bit depressed going back to work during this warm streak. But I made the right move.
Not ONE SINGLE pic of a deer last 2 days of a deer on my new tatacam.
Last week during cool weather, it was blowing up!
Making brownie point with a couple homeowners though.
Gonna start insulating and sheetrocking a project tomarro.
Temps are sposed to drop on Thursday so my vacation will resume then.

Yeah this weather is terrible for hunting. I was hoping to catch a cold front while I was here and of course it is going to be 77 here today with no real cool down till next week. I'll be back in NC by then. Smh. Just terrible timing.

As much fun as hunting in the heat sounds, I'll be hanging out with my daughter tonight. Haven't seen her in a couple months.

Yeah it’s hot. Sitting in it right now. Missed a big one this morning right at daylight. Deer quartered away and turned on my arrow. Sucked. Hope to redeem myself sometime this week.

Moving to the stand by the pond yesterday was a good idea. I had a close call with a 150" 8 but the doe he was after had other plans. I saw 15 bucks through out the day but only the 1 big one. 9 more days until I'm in a stand again. Good luck to everyone hunting tomorrow.

Sounds like a great hunt Tom.
One more day of hot temps.
Stating tomorrow, it's gonna cool way off.
This scrape is where I wanna be sitting by.
    It's been there for 20+years.
Nov 3,4,5th are the ticket judging from 1000s of pics over the years. CDY_0060.jpg

Will a coyote passing through blow the entire hunt?

I'll be out again after work today. This S wind is killing me. I just put in my official 2 week notice, so I'm sure today will be a sh!t show. Getting in a tree stand later will be just right.

Yeah, I hear that. It is really dry here and there is usually a water hole I can hunt over during rut perfect for S wind. It is bone dry.

Not looking good for me this year. I’m likely gonna be dropping the ball on this one.

We will see. This trip is coming to an end real quick. 73* tomorrow and 20 mph wind Friday. Head home Saturday.

I must be getting old. I have so many different properties to hunt (sole/private) that have bigger bucks then my own piddly 30 acres but I just wanna kinda hunt my own.
    I can't run n gun like I used to.
I'm going for older bucks now, not score.
I have way to many 120_140"bucks mounted.
    I don't need anymore.
The only buck I wanna kill this year is an old brute.
    He (may) go 150"?
Gonna just bide my time and hunt when I feel he's Killable.
    which isn't often.
Got to many other deer here and some old does. They can make life miserable.
