Good morning, gentlemen. Four more wakeups and I hit the road headed west. Gonna spend the next few days organizing the other half of my sh!t and trying to finalize how I'm going to break up the travel. Most likely 10 hours the first day and 6 the second, so I need to figure out where I'll stop to sleep. I'm contemplating sleeping in my truck and haven't done that in forever, but it might be happening this time. Saves me a bit of money and time while sacrificing a comfy bed for my old ass. Let's hit it hard and smoke some deer in the next few weeks.

When I used to travel for coyotes, I slept many nights in my truck/Suburban.
Mattress in the back. Slept great.

I'm getting pumped for hunting in a couple days.
My target buck is still only moving at night. He has been at a scrape at midway on Nov 4th the past 3 years.
If the wind is right, you can bet your ass I'll be there this year!

Hit a campground? I know I couldn't sleep in a truck these days. I'd be jacked up for a week.

I would probably be ok as long as it was only a few hours. Not like I'd get a full 8 hours in my back seat and yeah, I'm sure I'll pay for it either way.

Y’all work has been friggin a **** show for me. I hunted this weekend at my farm in Louisiana. No luck. I’m still having an issue with stray dogs. I got two of them gone but still 3 more. Plenty of small bucks, does and fawns on camera it was friggin 85 degrees this weekend. I will keep pushing. Leaving for Kansas on the 11th for a week long hunt.

Well I hate to hear about the strays and the heat! I bet you can't wait to get to Kansas.

Been absolute crap this week for me lol haven’t seen a deer. Walked most the day yesterday looking for some sign. Found a couple older scrapes…everyone in here is saying ehd took an absolute toll on them this year. Hard to believe they’re ALL just dead though for me. Two weeks ago I was seeing plenty of deer in the colder temps. Still grinding fellas. Finally a little hunt and a little rain hits tomorrow. No clue where I’m going but I’m going lol

Good luck brother hopefully you have better movement. I might go to family farm 2 hours away and try my luck there. Killed majority of my deer there and left it alone last season so I know there’s a few shooters at least. My grandpas and 1 other stand I’m leaving alone till I’m 100% positive they are daylighting. Other property I’ve been hunting I can’t kill the shooter on his bed because it’s on property I can’t get permission on so I have to wait till he’s traveling during the day. Hopefully, this week it starts to pick up.

Trigger finger is getting awfully itchy! Let's go, men. It's time to put some bone on the ground.

    Nice looking buck Benny.
Eric, explain what you meant? Lol:biggrin:

Kicked ass the past few days. I'll be done Tomarro afternoon getting the roof done. (For now).
Will hopefully get to my cabin late afternoon and start hunting Friday morning.
I'm gonna hibernate there untill about the 14th or so.
Even if I kill a buck early, I'm still gonna stay. I need it.
I hope you all (even other teams) have a great rut hunt.
It's what we all wait/dream for.

Good luck! I rattled a good one in last year on the 30th, so hopefully you have some luck with it.

Well guys, I'm at my cabin for a couple weeks.
    Will probably sit this evening.
Temps are way above normal so I'm not real enthusiastic.
My target bucks movement is sporadic and I gotta be real careful not to spook him.
