No time off for me this season.
Too much going on between work and family life. Been battling migraines for the last week as well. Thankfully i havent had any for 2 days.
So I'm stuck to the weekends. Which isn't too bad.

Ended up running into the hunter and his grandson last night. They were out checking cameras and setting up a blind. Super nice guy. It’s just them out there really and are super established on the property. They e hunted it 50 years and very proud to have 3 generations on it. They said there are 8 stands and a blind on the property and I’m welcome to use any of them. He also said he’d send me pictures of the bucks they’re seeing on the property.

Could have been much worse. I don’t look a gift horse in the mouth. Still very grateful.

Well another 70+ weekend. Bucks over 3years still nocturnal. Can kill my target buck on his bed because it’s on the neighbors property that won’t give permission to anyone because some A**hole took advantage of the landowner. But I have permission on both property’s on either side.. Todays my bday so will see if any luck is on my side this evening.

Insomnia sucks. I've never struggled with it before and I don't like it. I've been up since about 4 am, sitting here thinking of my upcoming trip to Missouri. Gonna have to lean on a lot of lessons learned on my old permission spot. There has always been some great bucks there and if I could buy that place I would in a heartbeat. It's the perfect buck property already. Wish I'd left at least one camera up, so I could have an idea of what's there, but it adds to the excitement not knowing I guess. Anyway, I'll be there in 6 days and should get a couple evening hunts in pretty quick.

Taking my wheeler to the dealer to have it tuned for the winter. Looks to be gross (70s) all week so I'm not going out until Friday when it breaks.

I danced back and forth on dates. I've had better luck with October going into November in the past couple years. Rut data shows these dates produce more reported deer in this county.
