I’m about to wash mine too lol unlike most everyone else I just wash mine in regular detergent we have haha I used to do all the specialty stuff but haven’t seen a difference using whatever I have at the time. Usually give them a wash every couple weeks.

I’ve done it all. They’re gonna smell my ass before they smell my detergent lol plain and simple. To each their own though. I used to stress to the max about it. Now I just go with it and honestly paying attention more to the wind and less about scent control I have had more success. I guess the day I quit getting deer in bow range and getting winded religiously I might venture back but for now I’m loving not stressing about it and still harvesting deer!

We all know…she blows she goes haha I’ve been fortunate this year. Have only had one blow at me. Okay the unfortunate part was it’s the only shooter I’ve seen ha!

And/or Borax. Never throw em in the dryer either boys. Hang em and let them dry outside (or inside) like the good lord intended.

Since we are talking scent control...
I don't really go crazy with it like I used to, but for me it has been more about ground scent. I know if they get down wind of me in a stand, it is over no matter how much scent killer I bathe my clothes in. I do think it makes a huge difference on ground scent as I'm going to my stand or blind, etc. For attractants, I can give credit to Evercalm for helping me kill my first bow buck. I had some on my boots on the way to my stand and as soon as he hit my back trail, he came straight in. Totally changed his path from out of bow range to come in to 18 yards. Those were the last steps he took.

To each their own, but I will spray down my boots and pants with scent killer of some sort and try not to brush up against stuff on the way in. Dangit, now I want to go find some Evercalm...

I’m the same way as far as trying not to touch stuff on my way in. It’s like they hit a wall when they cross your trail sometimes lol

Yeah, for me I just wash my clothes in some sort of scent killer or baking soda and keep all my hunting clothes in a tote. I use rubber boots so I don’t trail scent to stand and try to refrain from walking on deers path. My stands I keep in the barn. I wash with a scent killer sometimes but really don’t care cuz I hunt the wind. I live by the wind and thermals. I don’t use cover scents or attractants, I think they’re a gimmick and only attract young deer. A mature buck that’s been around a few years knows all the deer in that area by then so to throw in a wrench just pushes them away. I’d rather be as invisible as possible

Hoping this buck can find a good hiding place for the next two years.

Still waiting on my vacation for the week of the 24th to be approved. I know I’m in there for the week of the 7th of November. Dying to get back out lol went out this morning for literally an hour and a half because I had to get back to the house. It was raining white oaks in one of my go to spots. Seen a few decent rubs and kinda got out of there. Gonna be cold cold next week it looks like!

I've about given up on talking about scent control.
If you're gonna do it, take it to the max.
    EVERY TIME!.
I've had (100s) of deer downwind at close range without even a nose lift.
What I do works but is a major pain in the ass.

Yep Tom, I'd like to see you with that buck in 2 years.

I don't really know your situation as far as land. Do you own, lease, mange? No need to tell me, but just wondering how likely that up and Comer can reasonably hide for a couple years. He has a lot going for him. Hope he does make it!

Yeah man, shoot a dang deer! Lol. I've never had bear meat, but I have heard it is delicious. Do you use the fat? Apparently it has a ton of uses beyond cooking grease.

18 days till I'm back in Missouri. Pretty good timing, if I do say so myself.
