We were on the same team but not sure how that happened hahahahaha. I need to update that lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Alright team...I think I've met my quota for team captain over the last few years, so unless everyone has strong objections, I'll bow out of the running for that honor again. I think there is a pretty good description of the role of Captain in the contest rules, and if you haven't read the rules, go do it now, pullleeaze. Our last two check ins aren't frequent posters, so I would venture a guess that within a couple weeks, they will show up. After 2 weeks the captain can call for a replacement, but we can cross that bridge later. Meanwhile, I am not opposed to us picking a captain and throwing out some team names. I'd prefer no political references in the name, but whatever. There are some easy ones in that vein, so....it's forgivable I guess. I'll put my thinking hat on for a couple name suggestions later.
I’ll be hunting Louisiana and Kansas again this year. Have a few prospects on camera from last year. So we will see.
Both of these monsters made it through last year. My cousin saw them two weeks ago and he said they are both still magnificent. We will see come the rut. In Kansas I’m hunting soybeans, milo and alfalfa right across the river. Tons of does on camera already on my Louisiana farm where I live nothing special. 5 does with young fawns. 1 set of triplets, 2 sets of twins and 2 singles. Bucks are all young ones.
Wow. I don't think I've seen anything like that on the hoof since 2012. I don't know how I would react if I saw something like that walk past my stand this season.
Just got a call from a neighbor. He was watching a slob on my farm last night. I'm not much of a sharer on here(it always seems to jinks me) Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk
Great buck Russ. Thanks for checking in. So far,, nothing at my place worth sharing. I have over 1000 acres of private ground to myself in various places in supreme areas but just would rather hunt my own?
