I had an impromptu volleyball game scheduled for Saturday morning but I'll be out the rest of the weekend.

Just saying, I'd hunt it if I were out there. Oct is really my favorite time to hunt. I'll take pre rut over rut any day of the week and twice on Sundays. BNB, you're up in MN(?), so I don't pretend to know your best time to get out.

I agree with October hunting. Definitely my favorite. Always has been. I got another doe this morning lol got the kids off to school and decided to go try to fill my private land doe tag. 10 minutes in the tree there she was at 15 yards. Now it’s buck time! Pressure is lifted with a full freezer!

    Good work Kyle.
For sure, I used to love hunting October still do but later.
But for me, I've killed over 200 deer with a bow so I wait.
I used to get really bummed if I was tagged out early.
I just LOVE the chase/rut phase. Can be so fun to watch.
I may try for a bear tonight. A wanna whack one with my .243.

Crazy that it was 35 degrees at 8 o’clock this morning and 72 now lol and thanks everyone! I’m in another hunting competition that I actually run with my family ha each doe is worth 20 and a limit of two doe. My photo isn’t very graceful but here she is lol but that’s why it looks like I’m throwing up gang signs hahaha just showing “40” for points. just had dad snap a quick photo before I loaded her up. That's a normal temp swing for us up here in NY. Near Canada at least

Damn, feels good to be out.
Watching a very remote river crossing.
Aint a human within 3 miles of me.
Real windy which is usually poor for bear movement..

    Seen 2.
But they wouldn't cross over to me.
    Fun to get out though.
    Will go in the a.m.

Yeah, bears. My favorite game meat!.
Don't know how big. Both were in a jungle of tall grass.
One had a big head. That's about all I got out of it.
    Fun sit though.

Still haven’t had a chance to hunt. Work has been crazy and the weekends full. Kansas trip is rapidly approaching. Congrats on the does y’all.

All good. I bet you can't wait for Kansas. I watched that Chris Bee hunt on public in Kansas from last year and just shook my head. Huge deer roaming around out there. Good luck!
