It wasn't necessarily aimed at you or anything...

Congrats again. That had to feel good!

Broadheads out of the package are a joke. Muzzy's were dull as hell. Went to Dunham's Sports over the weekend. Not a great selection. Got the NAP Hellrazors. Dull has hell. Bought DMT stones. Gonna get these things so sharp you could shave with them.

I don't remember blades being this dull years ago. Has quality gone down? It was never a question to not touch the blade because it was sharp. Now I can run my fingers across them back and forth and not even break skin. Been watching the Ranch Fairy, lately. I'll never go back to any type of cheap steel, or replaceable blades. Adult broadheads only.

Boys is very important that we all crush a doe. Get it out of the way before the bucks start moving.

Off to private land to try to shoot another lol. Have this $15 antlerless permit but I couldn’t resist that one on public hahaha worth it. Mainly just trying to get the girlfriend one this evening. Solid chance at a buck on this property too

I was looking at some of the past champs and there is definitely a theme. 5 or 6 does and 5 or 6 decent (sometimes with a sub-100 inch) bucks thrown in is in the top 3 or better.

Hopefully some of you are in a position to pop a doe and keep hunting. Like Fix said, now is one of the better times to smoke slick heads.

    Anywho...we are rolling so far.

    Cool beans Kyle!
Today I woke up and had the urge to kill.
Bear first and then a couple does.
    Nice buck Tom.

    Thanks Fix.
I'm kinda fussy on bucks but does, I "think" I can get one?
    But never say "never/slam dunk"
There have been a few years where I've passed up 100 + deer only to find myself with an empty freezer late season.
There have been times I've hit the "it's brown,it's down" phase
Only to find out, late season deer are a bit cagier.
Hunting is hunting. No mater how much prime land you have, it's not always a slam dunk.

I felt his in my bones lol exactly my case sometimes. But when the freezer is empty I hunt extremely hard. It is still hard for me to shoot a doe sometimes though when I have bucks in the area but I definitely make exceptions hahah

This weekend would be that perfect Oct cold front hunt if I were still at my place in Missouri. You mid western guys need to clear your schedule and get adder it. Pitter patter.
