Had a little surprise on the camera when I checked. May not be the right time, but still encouraging to see![IMG]

Alright who's up next? I think we have 3rd all to our selves for now. I just got home, need a shower and then my bed. Maybe I can get lucky twice today before passing out. Lol. Thanks for all the congrats and kind words.

Never mind that whole 3rd place thing. Team 6 has another buck down awaiting score.

Well I got skunked this evening lol. Ended up getting out later than I wanted and didn’t have much time to scout my way back. Kind of just set up on the first white oaks I came to. I’ve seen deer there in years prior. Nuttin haha until next weekend!

It is nice to get off to a good start. Not even October yet. I'm sure the rest of the guys will be more active as the heart of the season gets going.

I'll be hunting Saturday x2 Sunday x2 and Monday x2 another doe won't help but I have tags to fill. If a P&Y comes by it's on.

Just realized that I never stiffened arrow spine when I upped the draw weight on my bow. Completely slipped my mind. Now I’m freaking out.

How much weight did you go up!? My arrows are technically under spined but shooting a little more upfront and it works out great. Tuned perfect for me..

As long as your arrow flight is still good, shouldn't be a problem.

Where I was hunting yesterday is chock full of does and I really only know of one particular, rather young, 6 point with potential that hangs around there. Until this morning. I only caught one good pic of a new buck walking away, so all I can tell is he is very wide and not a ton of mass. Not a ton of mass is nothing unusual in the hills of NC. He looks pretty mature body wise. I don't know that he is just passing through, but would be nice if he stuck around for a while. He won't threaten any book, but that is the way it goes around this place.

I hear that and, yeah, this stuff is like a sickness. I can't wait to get back out, but it will be a while for me. I might be in Missouri in Oct before I get back out.

Try to paper tune it and see what it does with the wrong spine
