Thanks guys. Made it out this morning with my little bro for a sunrise hike. Brutal cold north wind! Found another small oldie. Probably been there a couple years and I would have walked right by it last year. Also found an up and comer of ours that we got a ton of pics of this year. The guys that rifle hunt the neighbors shoot anything that moves and they hit this one and lost it. He had potential too would have much rather found his sheds...
Slipped out for a quick one again this afternoon and snagged 2 more from a new spot. One big real old one and one pocket size freshie. The big one would have been nice to have a couple years ago. The little one was right by a tree I walked by a few days ago. When I saw it today I thought there is no way I missed that but then realized it was fresh just all white.
Congrats to you gents so far! I actually got out yesterday to look for a few hours.. found 3.. including 1 off a buck I have lots of video of and had all around me most of last year. A goofy looking 2 yr old who will be real cool looking in a few years. He has great character. So.. chalk up 3 more for me. I'll post pics later.
Thanks guys and Congrats Duke!! It is finally on here and they are dropping daily!!! My little bro and I went out again this morning. Walked a couple hours and nothing but just pulled out of the field and on to the road and I spotted another small freshie in the cut beans. Had to have dropped last night as we were at this spot yesterday. I have a feeling I am going to have a good week coming up! Good luck out there guys!
Here are a couple of dead heads we found this weekend. A nice mature 7 pointer that had been laying for a year, and a nice 2 1/2 yr old 8 pointer that was hit by a car back in Jan by the looks of its carcass. Both were left where they layed due to our laws here in Jersey. Sux to see them go like this, but life is cruel in the woods. Also found # 13 today at lunch. a nice clean four point side with good color.
Found a honey hole today and scooped up 5 on a quick hike - 4 were in the same waterway. Real excited to find the left off of a buck we named Sidewinder. I have his right side from last year and will be walking lots of circles for this years right side. He'll be a shooter this year for sure and I am real excited to know he made it.
Dang Josh great work man! There flowin in Kansas. Congrats man we"re makin a move to the front now man.
Had another awesome day in the shed woods! Found the match for Sidewinder!! Also found a broke off left side of a buck we call Gutter that I have the set from last year and snagged a couple more small ones. One very happy shed hunter!
