Instinctive shooting is not easy to become good at. It's actually how I started out bowhunting many years ago with my Bear recurve. Those were the good ole days.
I'm out on a piece of public. Opted to flex some time from work since Saturday I'll be setting up and working a booth at an event. Already saw 4 doe out in the field. There is alfalfa to the north which is private and the deer bed on a decar thicket on that property. Where I'm at it's prairie grass that leads to oaks and water. I was a bit bummed because last year the prairie grass was beams so i was hoping it would be corn thia year. By the grace of God, something will make its way over to me. I will not be shooting a doe tonight though, buck or bust back where I am at. It's a pain getting way back here.
By far the best sit I've ever had without shooting a buck. Saw 9 does and six bucks and had a mega 8pt out at 35 yards but stayed on private. Watched him spar with a decent 9 and an 8pt. Awesome night all around. This sucker had about 8-9 inch brows, mass throughout, excellent tines on his g2s and g3s.biggest deer ive seen.

Back in the saddle again. Same spot after that big buck, set up with 2 buddies to try to get this thing killed. Also, opted for my compound....I chickened out being that I do not want to mess this up if I get a chance. Even though I could still mess things up.
Well i got out this evening. I only saw 1 deer, but it was a shooter buck! Got to watch him for over 30 minutes this evening down in a swamp. Made a game plan to sneak in and kill him on my next sit. Hopefully he says in there for a couple days. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
Hope ya get to feeling better soon. Saw about 15 deer last night and a couple solid 8s, but that giant wasn't with them. Have had a couple deer showing up on our property but just after dark. Its supposed to be hot this next week so I likely won't be sitting until next week or so.
We’re on a cruise ship in Central America and I’m trying like hell to stay away from people. Hoping I don’t come home with some bug!
