Going to take another swing at those doe's i saw the other night. Want to get a few to take the pressure off. I eat alot of deer meat, so my goal each year is 5 or 6 deer. A double tonight would be great. Anyone else season about to start? Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
My Season open tomorrow. I doubt that I hunt this weekend, but possibly Sunday. I just ran across one more spot that I'd like to scout quick, more for next year, but I'm going to check it out tomorrow if possible. The problem is it's a huge area, so I'm not sure what I'll be able to cover. It's the lower portion of about 3100 acres of State & Fed.
Tuesday forecast is 90° Wednesday forecast is 77° My plan to hunt on Wednesday evening is looking better all the time Should be home from Canada tomorrow afternoon (in Caspar Wyoming now) & I’ll start washing the hunting clothes Sunday Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well almost got us on the board. Put a horrible shot on a doe. Broke arrow and no blood. Did end up finding a couple specks of dried blood on arrow once i got out of the woods. About 30 minutes later after shot, group of does came back out and she was with them. Still have no idea what i hit. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
4 does came in and 4 walked out the other side of the thicket. Guess there is a chance they picked up another doe. Also i grid searched the whole thicket for a hour to double check. No blood, no body. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
Happened to my son once during shotgun season. Shot a doe, she ran behind the brush pile and then stepped out the other side. He shot her again. Got down and found 2 dead does. Luckily, he still had 2 tags, but no buck that year.
Definitely could have happened. It's thick in there this time of year. Lot of deer moving around this evening. My best educated guess was i hit low and hit her lower front leg. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
Went and sat this morning, had a doe and her fawn at 15 yards just calm as could be. I have a hard time shooting a doe when she still has a fawn or two this time of year. Was fun nonetheless! Have some friends coming over tonight so won't be out until maybe tomorrow otherwise late next week when we have a nice cold front coming in after some storms/rain
Got in another hunt last night. So many acorns on this property, to the point its too many. Saw 2 fawns off in the distance chasing each other and playing in the woods. Always comical when that happens. Then, right near dark, I had a spike walk under me , then 10 minutes later another velvet spike. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
