Looks like a 3 year old to me. I am guessing in the 130s. If he makes you happy pull the trigger. I am a big believer in shoot what makes you happy and congratulations to anybody on a harvest. I am hoping to get out this weekend. The East winds look like they are coming to an end.
He is one of those in-between bucks to me. Hard to tell if 3 or 4. His low chest and neck line screams 4 year old. Also his rump is low. But then he has a high belly line that turns up at the back leg. Which makes me think 3. Dont know man. I say shooter if you dont have anything older to chase. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
I will be able to get out this weekend some. Hopefully see some good movement. Was able to take my daughter on the youth hunt last weekend and she was able to get her first deer
I finally got out on Saturday afternoon. Been a long week of work and kids sports. Had a decent sit. Went to check a marsh that i shot at a big buck last year. It was full of buck tracks and scrapes, so think there are a couple in there. I was a little early in the season to hunt, but had to make a the first trek in to get my entrance. Think i will try it again in a week. Wind wasnt what i would normally hunt, but did see a big doe. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
Welp, tomorrow we have the coldest morning of the year so far. After I get my kids in the bus I am going to go try to sneak back across the river and sit for a couple hours and hopefully arrow something. My dad is coming down tomorrow afternoon and we'll be hunting until Sunday, unless we shoot something sooner. Ill keep you guys updated!
Headed home from Ohio tomorrow, a few days early, and I’m not answering my phone all next week! Hopefully something will be hitting the ground soon.
I am going to try and get out tomorrow morning here in Maine on doe patrol. Everyday I am seeing them next to my house. I was playing ball with my dogs today and I look in the trees and I see a flag heading away.
