Finally had a decent 8 show up on my property. Has pretty good main beams, nice g3s, Im not sure what his g1s look like but I'd likely shoot this fella if I get a chance. Going to wait because each of the past few nights different bucks have been showing up so I am waiting to see if one of the really big guys makes his way around
Just booked my flight to Kansas , flying out November 12, to the 23rd. This is the latest I have ever gone out. My anniversary is on Veterans Day and I decided to stay home to be with my wife for the first time in over 15 (other than last year because I didn’t draw a tag).
Trying something different. Hunting the frag marshes of eastern shore for sika. Saw a few on the way in, had one walk up to 20 yards in the frag and couldn't see it and heard a bugle off in the distance. Oh yeah took over 1:30 just to walk back this far. So much water. I got out once this weekend, but these East winds are not ideal. I had to sit farther out than I wanted to. I saw lots of deer but just didn't get a shot opportunity. When the wind switched from the West it will be game on!
Just looked at the weather for our area. Starting the 25th, highs only in the 60’s. Should be able to start contributing.
Im trying to figure where i should go sit tonight. We have some showers moving through but its cold. Feels about 49. The rain is on and off so im hoping they will move, its just a matter if I go sit public or go to the backyard. Still dont have a lot showing as far a large bucks go, but a couple decent 8s still coming around just after dark

I was down in Illinois last week working and filming Todd on a few hunts. Only saw one doe, I can get those numbers up here! I'm going to try and sneak out this afternoon, but the wind is a goofy light wind out of the E. It should work at one of my new spots I haven't sat before. We'll see how it's moving once I'm there on the ground. Next week I'm back to IL for a few days, then out to Colorado filming Todd on a mule deer hunt. Should be a good time, but I won't get back in the woods until Nov!
