Main entrance is from the south west but north is another possibility. Road access all along the west and north of it.

Well Friday morning officially starts my 10 days off! Heading out for an all day sit. Word on the street is that the bucks are starting to chase already so I'm pumped to do some rattling & calling! I'll give a report & hopefully picks tomorrow night!

 

Only saw one doe today. Weather was in the sixties and really windy. Temp supposed to drop off tonight. I'm in a lousy cell area, so I'll post back up tomorrow night. Hopefully with some good news!

Saw a button buck a spike and a 130s 8 pt. Only deer not in range was the 8 point go figure. Rut is starting!

Thanks for the well wishes guys. Been busy as a one armed wallpaper hanger lately but gonna make it into a stand in the morning. Temps are dropping and the deer have been moving so I'm very hopeful. Good luck to everyone that makes it out.

 

Did an all dayer today. Saw about a dozen does & a real nice buck chasing after the above mentioned does. Wind was ridiculous so calling wasn't effective. On the plus side I checked my SD card when I got home & had pics of 7 new bucks. (3 shooters). Also saw lots of new rubs/scrapes. Taking Saturday off but will be back at it Sunday. Skunked today. Frustrating, but we're getting close to prime time. Saw a lot of deer after dark. Also saw a Bobcat today which I've never seen, so today wasn't a total waste.

I found a tick on me last night guys. Never expected it since we have already had frosts several times. out. Make sure you check yourself over. this is a picture. Its painful to touch. I will be getting it looked at because ive never seen a bite like this.

I would get that checked ASAP. Never seen a tick leave that kind of mark.

Saw a fawn and so many turkeys that I lost count this evening. No shooting for me. Hope you guys taking this week off to hunt have some success. I'm still waiting g for a buck down post.

I had a similar bite on my leg early in the season & it finally started getting better a week or so ago. My wife was chewing my butt the whole time telling me to go to the Dr. But I tend to be stubborn about those sorts of things.

Never saw a deer tonight & didn't expect much due to ridiculous winds but went out anyway. Weather sounds much better for tomorrow so I'm planning an all day sit.
