Congrats! You hear may shots from the muzzleloader crowd? I ended up not going out as the wind wasn't right for any of my setups. I'll be headed out this afternoon with a climber to try to get in better wind.

Awesome!!! Had a 130"er coming my way this am but got spooked by some trespassing turkey hunters!!! So pissed. Funny sight seeing someone chasing two other people through the woods. Heard the one guy holler at the other guy "I think he is gonna kill us". I could've I was so mad!!! Going out for the afternoon shortly, packing up everything and getting ready to hit the road. Wind changed direction here and is supposed to be tapering off after a day and a half of 30-45 MPH south winds. Cooling down good tonight too, so, it's on like Donkey Kong! Hope I am able to post a kill tonight. Safe hunting all, and congratulations again Rich71. Good to see some people are keeping us in the hunt!

 

Didnt hear many shots at all actually. Was pleasantly surprised about that. Thanks for all the congrats guys, had to get her deboned and in the fridge quick with the temps the way they are. I'll try to get pics posted this evening or tomorrow. Good luck to all who are out.

 

Congrats Rich!! Been kinda a slow weekend so far passed a 115ish 8 point this AM. Got skunked tonight, head back out in the morning. Then head home to hunt tomorrow evening.

 

Ignore the orange guys, it is a two day muzzle loader weekend so it was required this weekend.

Thanks guys. Hope all of us can be so fortunate.

 

I never did make it out this weekend. Planned on Friday & Sunday but heavy rain on Friday & wrong wind & rain Sunday kept me home. :-( I'm wife & kidless next weekend so hoping to hit it HARD!

I'm hoping to get some cooler temps and some more stand time next weekend as well. Got to get caught up on the honey do list though.

I won't be going out until the weekend. Looks like temps will be into the mid to high 50's so it should be a great weekend for them to get on their feet and move around a little more. Good luck this evening.

How did it go tonight Dan!? Felt like a good killin night here, unfortantly was at work till 6. Hope to get out friday afternoon.

 

Didnt see a single deer from stand. It was a perfect night. Driving out I saw 10 in the field on the other side of the property so they headed that way rather than mine. It was enjoyable regardless
