Congrats ProV1! Tomorrow is our company picnic. It should end at 3:00 and then we're allowed to head home early, so I'm planning a rare midweek hunt. Wind should be perfect to hunt over a new food plot I just put in this year. Can't wait! Good luck to everyone heading out Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4
Congrats on the baldy V1. Season opens tomorrow, unfortantly work is nuts right now an wont be able to get out till friday Good luck to everybody hittin the timber in the morning!
Great deer prov1! That killzone really laid the hammer down! Decided to sit over the only watering hole in the area this morning. So far that's payed off seen 4 does just none have presented a good shot. But the worst day of hunting still beats a good day at work so we'll see what happens!
I'm on stand and hoping to lay the smackdown on a slick head. Really hot here in Ohio. Mid 70s or so. Hunting over a new food plot I planted this fall. It was a marshy area in the middle of the timber. I just planted Rye in it this fall to see if anything would grow and am planning on planting some wet soil resistant clover in it next fall. Would be cool to see the hard work pay off. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4
Good luck jem! I'm sitting in an white oak patch and it sounds like it's raining with all the acorns hitting the ground. ring that dinner bell baby!!!! Game face!!!!
Saw four does tonight. The first came in about 20 yards out heading to the plot. Had a bit of brush in the way so elected to pass. Thought they'd step out in range, but they angled away from me and stayed at 40+yards away. Two more came in a couple minutes later and they actually chased the other two off. Stood up on their hind legs and did a little boxing match. I've never seen that before, so that was really cool. All in all, a fantastic night on stand. I'll be back out there on Saturday.
Saw 2 small bucks as I was getting packed up. Saw them for the 1st time at 20 yards and they came in to 14 yards. Wish they were 130 inches bigger lol Sent from my SCH-R970 using Tapatalk 4
Great job Pro V1!! The deer can't keep a good team down for long!! Well, been hard to get out. My week off hunting turned into a week of house work as we decided to put our house on the market and change our vehicle situation. This weekend is going to be seeing a huge weather change in Minnesota. Temps are gonna drop big, however, the down side appears to be rain 24/7 all weekend long!! If the weather breaks, I am going to pop the top on my river stand. Shot deer every year out of this stand. It just produces. Bottle neck in the woods where there is a great river crossing. Talk to you all soon, good luck hunting and shoot straight!!
We have a "winter storm watch" for my area for the weekend so I'm hoping the stormy weather may get the bucks moving during the day. Got a road trip with the wife planned for Saturday but hopefully be able to hunt Friday/Sunday. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
It's going to be 80 here this weekend. Not exactly ideal conditions. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4
Broke down an took tomorrow morning off. Could not stand it any longer, looking at a warm 64 degrees at 6am. Wind should be good gonna hit an early season set. On a heavy trail from bedding to breakfast. Hope to be sending deer down updates in the am!
Really starting to warm up now gonna give it another 40 mins or so. Have seen 3 fawns that's it so far. One was so kind to make sure I got to my set alright lol!!
