Sweet it’s the best getting pics sent, you have many problems with bears up there?

Yeah we do have a lot of bears. But we put our cams fairly high so that helps. We usually lose one camera to a bear every other year.

Yeah I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully by then I'm not as consumed with Whitetails. It's hard to think about bear when I'm after big deer.

It’s hard to do anything when Whitetails are on the brain.

8 years!!!! I can buy 3 tags a year lol. We literally treat black bears like coyotes up here. They are so overpopulated it's not even funny. I like to eat them. So I look for younger 200lbers. Much nicer meat.

What are some ways your prepare bear? All the times I have had it it wasn’t the best, but I’m sure it was just in the way it was prepared.

I've kicked up bears walking in. Most the time it's a blast through the brush taking out limbs and bushes along the way. Bears are very afraid of people by us due to the guys who run dogs in the summer and fall.

That would scare the crap out of me. I had a flock of turkeys fly from the trees one time when walking to stand in morning. I thought it was mountain lion coming after me I ran so fast to the stand about peed my pants. Couldn’t imagine a spooking a bear

Yeah I ran out of meat a long time ago! I bought a extra freezer just to put deer meat in. I'll probably shoot the first mature doe that gives me a shot if the bucks disappear like they usually do. Going to check cameras after work. Hopefully they hang around long enough for season so maybe i will have a shot at one.

I hope so for your sake, did you try gaining access to neighboring land to continue chasing those bucks? Being limited to just 8 acres would be brutal for me.
