Thanks. Got a storm coming threw hoping that gets them up on their feet. Fresh scrapes probably 100 yards from where I’m sitting. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Well my first sit of year. Too warm so I am sitting over the wateringhole. Exciting news. I just saw a beast. 14 point. Was bedded behind a tree 70 yards from me for like 2 hours. Had no idea he was there. Didn't have a shot at all. He stood up and walked off. Maybe he will come back for water. If not it's ok. I'm excited to have a buck like that hanging around.
Well saw about 8 or 9 does. No bucks but still a good sit. After this week of work I’m off for a week so hopefully I can get a buck down on the ground Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Tonight I saw a doe with triplet button bucks and another doe blow through the cut beans at about 400yds. I wanted to get pic of them all together but mama was on point. When the mama and 2 others moseyed off this one straggled behind.
My buddy did go check our cams though. Have a few decent ones but no day timers yet. These are actually just average bucks for this spot. It holds some big ones. You’ll have to excuse the screenshots of screenshots. This is as technologically skilled as my buddies get lol. I’m lucky I even received anything
Sorry I’ve been MIA fellas. I’ve been putting in sits here and there. Nothing moving in the daylight by me. But on a positive note. Rome is alive and I’m going after him! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Thanks Brandon! Yeah he certainly is! When I saw him 2 years ago I've never been so excited! It's pretty cool that I might be the only person that has ever seen this buck alive in person.
I don't know of his bedroom. I'm in the process trying to figure that out. What I do know is this time of year he operates in about 1000 acres during the pre rut/rut. That gives me a short window unfortunately. In the past 2 1.2 seasons we've got him on 9 different camera locations. So know where he travels to. I just don't know where he's coming from. If we get snow during my rutcation I may just find his track and spend the day either following it, or backtracking it. That is what I should have done last year but I couldn't find his track when we had snow.
Morning sit was decent saw 3 different bucks. I lightly rattled and a small 6 came running in. He walked around for a while then chased after a doe full speed. 4 pt came by about half hour later. Then about 9 a bigger buck was slowly walking and browsing I rattled at him he looked for a while then went back the way he came. I need to move my stand or take climber up the hill about 70yds that’s where the deer keep traveling. Last month they were traveling right in front of my stand. I just checked the score and the doe I shot is not on there. Is there something else I have to do Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Sometimes it goes a few weeks to a month before it gets updated. It will get added when brad or whoever is updating it gets around to it
Going out tonight had rain all day and temp dropped 10 degrees, rains gonna stop in the next hour, should be a good sit.
Just pulled two cams on way to my stand, first time hunting here this year it’s transition between bedding and feed. Two good 8’s are coming though in the evening.
