Well I got to say this has been the worst year for me shooting. Shot a big doe last night and made a bad shot. She will survive but that is the second deer this year I have made a bad shot on. I know its part of it but it sucks. Hopefully be back at it this weekend. Taking the fiance out tomorrow evening to try and get her first deer with a bow. Will keep everyone updated, checking cameras this weekend too, will post pics. Good luck this weekend everyone!

Was going to hunt last night, but too much going on. Checked cameras tonight: at least two eight points came by my stand last night during shooting hours. Another big buck was in my food plot after dark. *Sigh*
That’s the way it always happens. I was supposed to go this morning but decided to stay in and get some stuff accomplished before youth hunting weekend starts tomorrow. Well it go a little colder last night we had a pretty good frost this morning now I’m kicking myself for not going. I was going to go where all the bucks I’ve seen have been showing up on camera. We have our Thanksgiving weekend this weekend in Canada. And as much as it always sounds like a great time to hunt. It never happens as my family is huge and we have an event everyday. Sooooo next weekend it is for me boys. But once I start, I go hard. All day sits. 20 days out of the month.

Had a little 6 come in this morning. Then 2 does worked there way past me. Was a good morning for a short sit.
