I’m thinking liver blood. Didn’t think I held back I was up behind her shoulder which makes me think I definitely clipped a limb. I’m not going to push the search too hard. May have to come back tomorrow
No dice tonight. We just couldn’t find any other sign of blood or anything. Don’t know what happened. Haven’t lost one like this in awhile it’s not a good feeling. Will look again tomorrow
Does it look like the 3rd pic has bubbles in it or is that part of the leaf? Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Part of the leaf I think. I’m hoping this was non fatal. I only had couple hrs this morning to look and had to go to work. Still nothing. My buddy who helped me last night is going out there with his German shorthair. He’s found a couple deer for us and has a great nose. If they don’t find I’m going to grid search from 330 pm till dark tonight. Sick to my stomach because being an honest dude I had a sliver of doubt in the back of my head right before I made the shot.
This pic is roughly from where the arrow was sticking in the ground. That is the twig I think I hit. You can see the old ladder stand I was in in the background
Hopefully the dog will do the trick. Saw 6 deer this morning no shots, one bruiser on camera but no daylight pic. Sent from my iPad using Bowhunting.com Forums
Out in the stand now nothing so far. Saw two does this morning no shot. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums

Never made it out this morning but did make sausage gravey biscuits out of my venison. Good luck this morning Sent from my iPad using Bowhunting.com Forums
I’ll be dusting my self off and getting back on the horse tomorrow. My buddies dog seemed to be on something but kept wanting to cross the only property line we can’t go. Which is opposite direction I saw the deer run. Hope the ol girl lived. Good luck everyone who’s out today. I’m at work.
Well I’m about to get on another blood trail boys. Want to give her some time but I’ve got rain moving in
