Annoy the crap out of her the week prior. She will be ready for you to leave. Lol. Disclaimer...this can backfire very badly if not done with precision
Remember is always easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. Set a stand this morning right next a acorn tree and a persimmon tree and about 10 yards from a big corn field. Should be a good sit next Sunday evening Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Looks like someone is excited for the rut to come! I couldn't post my gamecam video, so I posted the link to it in my dropbox. https://www.dropbox.com/s/u3p72c1pc7sxgpy/MFDC0383.AVI?dl=0
Good luck out there boys. I'm just shooting ducks right now. Deer does not open for another few days for me. I won't be out after deer until second week of October unfortunately.
Got skunked again the northwoods in yesterday’s sit. First sit in a saddle though. Not too bad! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Season opens tomorrow for me! Suppose to be record high of 92 degrees. Probably won't go out tomorrow, suppose to cool off by the weekend. We will see! I'm ready to let a arrow fly!
Feel pretty good about my spot in the morning. 5 ground scrapes with 60 yds of my stand. Hopefully I’ll get a look at what’s making them. Sent from my iPad using Bowhunting.com Forums
I have a stand that is 30 yards off of a creek and there is a decent buck that is frequenting that area. Might try and get out tomorrow and see if I can get a doe on the ground.
Nice views. I thought about getting a saddle but with the slow shipping time due to high sale volume I wouldn't have mine until after my rutcation Sent from my SM-G970U1 using Tapatalk
So just checking in with you guys and letting you know that I won't be posting much this week or weekend. I'll be in Michiga I ordered my saddle and platform last spring. I just haven't used it yet. This spot is 2 miles deep so the saddle makes it a lot better to commute rather than haul a hang on.
Saw 3 doe this morning no shots. Skipped out tonight to warm. Going out in the rain tomorrow. Sent from my iPad using Bowhunting.com Forums
I’ll be out Friday for a doe (first sit of year) and The rest of the state opens Saturday, gonna be out after a big one that I been after for 4 years.
Just hand washed my lightweight camo and it’s drying now. I don’t wash it often but let me tell you.... the water looked like coffee. I guess My ozone reliance has made me a little lazier. lol! Backpack has been squared away, stand and sticks ready to go, bow case and contents triple checked, broad heads hand sharpened, license and tags...check. Oh and most important...I can shave with my gutting knife. Tomorrow evening will be a blind walk in but I have high hopes of putting a big ol’ nanny down for her final nap. I’m going off a couple of my buddies trail cams. If not I hope I accomplish some good recon. This property hosts some giants during the rut but they are only cruising through. You have to be there right place right time. Temps are looking good too. Hello Fall!
I will go out this weekend gonna take the boy. Doubt that I will shoot one since it will be kinda of warm next weekend Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Supposed to get up to a quarter inch of rain tomorrow. Will see how motivated I am when I get up. Sent from my iPad using Bowhunting.com Forums
Well guys I’m lost at this point. Pretty sure I clipped a limb but I don’t know. A doe cam in right before last light. I watched her for a min debating in my head whether I wanted to take her or not. What the heck am I out here for? So I let one rip. I don’t know if the crack was a limb or ribs. Watched the lumi nok disappear then reappear. I thought good hit. Waited but lost her in thick stuff and never heard crash. All blood found is within a 10 ft line. It is spray from her off side. Can not find anymore blood. Arrow was wet with watery darker red blood. Maybe liver idk. I haven’t pushed too far. Shot was at about 7pm. I’ve been looking around a 20 yd circle for the last 15 min. Got a buddy coming to help. Will keep you all updated
