Headed down to the farm in Southern Illinois this weekend to scout a piece of public and check some stands that I left out last year. Hope it looks good down there. My challenge up here around home is gonna be late standing corn. The flooding delayed planting so long that we will be lucky if it’s out by end of november
Thanks @Shocker99! Did some shooting last night. My oats are doing great. I spread Milorganite on them to keep the deer away until they establish. I saw a great buck 1/2 mile from my house on the way home from work the other day so I am really excited for the opening of bow season on October 1. Hope your season goes well! I will do my best to keep up on the forum.
I'll be leaving work a couple hours earlier today. I'm gonna head back down to the marsh. I'm not heading to the same island as before, but I'll be hopefully getting on some bedding on the edge of the marsh and timber. I'll be scouting my way in, in hopes of stumbling on some sign. I get spotty reception there but I'll see if I can update you guys on what I see.
