congrats to drew and cody, it's not always about the points or a contest, it comes down to the memory and the hunting experience. It's awesome this time of year I got great footage of bucks running all over the place this past friday and saturday. I passed on a hog of an 11 pointer friday morning around 9:15 pushing 150" or better. He had great mass, not the tallest tines and he had a broken G-2 on the left side. Since I already have one in the 160's, I'm trying to hold out for Mr T, who will boone typical. I have yet to see him but with the activity levels starting to rise, I hope I will soon have my hands gripped around his massive rack! Don't get me wrong if another 160 or better crosses me I'll have to put the hammer on him, but it would be nice to get Mr T!

Remember guys if your just out of range where your seeing all the activity, get down ASAP and move to it! Making a minor adjustment like that can pay off in big dividends. As far as the buck fever, I'm speechless this stuff stopped every buck that crossed my scrape lines. I had a 9 pointer on a dead run behind a doe stop cold in his tracks at one of the scrapes, not just for a second but for about 10 minutes. The big 11 pointer I had dead to rights at about 16 yards and he was sniffing another scrape trail I have on the north side of me. I switched over to the BF RUT blend saturday morning and relocated my trailcam, these deer are really hitting the scrapes and other scrapes are being made as well, this stuff rocks!

Way to go guys! Cody, big congrats! Ryan, thats just awesome to hear all the news about your BF working so well. Love it! Mine is too. I was at state volleyball since thursday.. way down south, so I didnt get back till Sunday at noon. I made it out last night to my stand, perfect conditions. I got a shot at a beautiful buck with a droptine, I am not sure what happened, I think I missed, I can not find any trace of arrow, my shot was quarting to me, tight, I tried slipping it in behind the front shoulder, I may have bit brush, I just dont know, he whirled and ran like a banshee.. no blood, no hair, no arrow.. miffed and a little bummed out. Its a buck I have never seen he was headed right for my mock scrapes.. just an awesome droptine buck.. looked for over an hour for sign..nothing.. its so thick in there I only saw him for a second as he escaped.. very disappointed and still left shaking my head. Back at it again tonight.. trying to decide if I should go tromp around some more and look for any sign or just hunt..

Yeah I pray I didnt hit him, I do NOT think I did, it was so brushy in there that its no surprise to me if I shot over him...(and I think I did) that my arrow is lost. Shooting down a very steep mountainside brushier than hell. He was tense too cause as he was coming at me quarting to me I knew I had to draw or I wouldnt get a shot .. I raised up and drew, he tensed up and froze.. It all happened so fast, I almost always see my arrow either hit or deflect, I didnt this time.. still not sure why, he whirled, ran out of sight. Chit happens, I know, I just pray that It is a clean miss, man would l love to see that deer again.. doubt I will there but who knows, this set up is right between two doe bedding areas about 150 yards on each side of my stand, same spot I saw the huge 5x5 last week.

Thats awesome on our team score, I plan on killing a buck or two an doe on my Montana hunt forsure in late season. Our score should be pretty dang decent. Good luck to everyone still hunting!

We are still in good shape, sorry to hear about this miss Troy, it happens to everyone! Hopefully you will get another crack at him or that other big 5x5. We have alot of time left and our team is filled with bound and determined hunters! I drew on a doe na dhad my camcorder positioned right on her, but she turned the wrong way. She was very lucky. I did blast a yote at 20 yards, right through him and my arrow stuck in the ground on a 45 degree angle on the other side. It's game on at the end of the week for me, taking thursday and friday off and hunting sat. possibly sunday. Same next week with veterans day off. good luck everyone!

Congrats guys that's awesome! I hope to contribute to the team here shortly. Going to pick my B-I-L up at the St. Louis airport this fri. We will be hitting it hard for 8 solid days the 6th-13th. Nothing to do for a solid week except hunt. I'm pumped! These next 4 days are going to seem like an eternity. I will keep you guys posted from the stand. Wish us luck. My B-I-L is on team 20 but we don't have to worry about them catching us, lol!

WOW! Two bucks hit the ground since I last checked. WTG guys. Had an encounter with a nice 2.5 year 8 point last night. He needs another year. I'm taking off work tomorrow and Friday for a couple all day sits in a great pinch point on my lease. I haven't been in there yet so expectations are high. Good luck everyone.
