If you guys get a chance hang a trailcam overlooking one of the scrapes that your using buck fever on, even if your hunting an area for a couple of days. I know public land would be harder due to the risk of some knucklehead stealing the cam. If you can try it, do it!

Looks like we have dropped back to 3rd place now but we are still in good shape. We are less then 100 points back and with several of us still needing to wack a doe and ton's of points still to come from some moster bucks we are in great shape to run away with this and finally put an end to the BBK!!!
Not worried about beating you guys and it's nice that we both agree that the BBK is a bunch of SLACKERS!!!
I will do my best tonight to get us some points. I haven't been able to hunt much the last two weeks due to work and other obligations. I have a good feeling about tonight's sit so we will see what happens.
Well my last two sits were not quite what i was wanting them to be. Just like the last two weeks on this farm i didn't see a single deer. WTF!?! Opening week it was like deer city and now....nothing. To top it all off i knocked my bow its holder and it fell about 20ft. It landed on the bottom cam and the arrow dug into the ground and snapped the fork on my rest. I just got done doing an emergency rest transplant (NAP Apache) and re-tune so it seems like its back to normal now. The rest barely fit on the bow because of the TEC Riser but its all good so i will be back out in the woods tomorrow sitting in the one stand that i haven't sat in yet this year. I'm seeing deer sign all over the property but im just not seeing the deer.
If I can get my hands on this guy within the next 2 weeks we'll be good.Any body else seeing decent bucks roaming around? I think he will give us a bit over 100 points.
Went out this afternoon and seen alot of action, just no mature bucks. Saw some young bucks pushin some does. Rattled this young 8 pt. in, he messed around under my stand for 15 min. The next two weeks should get pretty exciting! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Heading out here in about 45 minutes. I'll be sitting until just after noon because we are taking the kids trick or treating tonight. Hopefully something will be on the move this morning.
I did my second all day sit on Sat. I saw 11 deer, 5 small bucks and 5 doe. All rut related sightings except for 3 of the doe that were just feeding at dusk. No shooter bucks seen. It is underway for sure! Sorry, that's 6 doe. lol
Yes sir! Those are the text I like to get while sitting in a treestand. I saw a group of does about 80 yards behind me so far..that's it. Oh and 2 dogs. A couple more hours and I gotta jet.
Hes only a 6 and not gonna score much at all but i dont think we are gonna have to use the fergie clause for him lol. ( i took a crack at scoring and it came out to 62 6/8" and thats only with three mass taken on each side.....do i get the 4 or only three since hes only a 6? so hes half way to a good buck but i will take it) I know there are bigger deer in the woods out there but there is a ton of hunting pressure on this land, a ton of bucks his size, and hes the first deer i have seen out there in 2 weeks. Lets just call him a cull buck. I will have pics up soon or just pm me your number. I had to take the pics with my I-phone since some punk kid broke into my truck last week and stole my digital camera and some other stuff.
No blood drawn for me today although I was tempted to take the dogs out that were running around the woods barking. I just cant do that though. Back at it again tomorrow. Congrats again Drew!
I hunted some this weekend. Yard work cut into my hunting time. I did see a small buck chasing a doe. I also checked the camera which is on a perennial scrape. A couple shooters showed up.
Well guys, I got a buck down this past weekend! Went down with JZ to his lease in Pike and Brown and filmed him all day Friday and Saturday morning, then it was my turn to hunt and I shot a beautiful 9pt. He won't score very high (maybe 115ish) but he was my first bow buck and I got perfect footage of the kill self-filming. I'll post pictures and a story later!
