164 1/8 Well after having it officially scored last night, he green scores 164 1/8 inches!!! so that gave us almost 2 more inches. I'll probably post a new thread for everyone to hear my story, but here are a couple field pics.
Hey guys, good luck to everyone hunting this evening. I am gonna be set up on the ground at my bear bait, doing a little filming ... hope a shooter shows up.
Hoyt after looking closer to your pics are you sure you are not hunting in my spot. My sheds from Jan 3rd of 2009 sure look like a younger set from this fella! Here they are!
Hey guys, just checking in after yet another productive evening sit. Didn't have any action until sunset when two bucks, one a good 8, stepped out of the timber about 120 yds across the bean field i was sitting on. They started working my way but ended up hanging up until dark on a grass filter strip about 90yds out. I hung a stand on that spot mid summer but have not gotten a good wind to hunt it yet. Hopefully i will get that wind on Saturday. Ryan i am still in awe of that monster you shot! Things are looking good for the MBM boys!
Nice Drew! hope you can get over there and drill a good one! I love big 8s! Good luck. Yeah guys we have a really strong team this year. I am definately optomistic at where we will end up. I am almost positive I will get a doe late season, and definately on my doe hunt in Montana in Jan.. As for a big buck, thats what the next 3 months are all about! No bears tonight but I have a feeling its a matter of time, my bait is in a great spot, got hit for the first time today, hung a trail cam on it to see whats coming in!
Cody, great job, great read, really happy to hear the excitement in your writing! Best of luck with the ILL life! Gotta love it. Big midwestern whitetails, working in the industry etc! That doe is a mule by the way! big ole girl. Congrats again.
It appears that I don't even have your number Shed. My number is 847-436-2300. Text me so I can get yours.
keep it up fellas, things will still continue to pickup; warming back up alittle this week but i'm just waiting for the farmers to really start getting in there and harvesting the corn. Awesome story on your doe cody, great job again. The bucks will come, you have to be patient and if you have a great feeling about anything, stick with it; it will pay off. Team #4 rules. As for my doe, I basically can get 50 points on this particular farm anytime I want, just waiting for the right time.
Just checking in guys. I will be out tonight on a ridge that has rubs through it everywhere and is surrounded by fields. Hopefully I can connect!
