Hunted a spot I thought would be killer yesterday. 20 squirrels, 10 chipmunks, and one raccoon. Didn't see one deer, but I have a feeling it's gonna be a killer spot during the rut. Acorns were falling everywhere, but haven't seen a deer my last 2 times out.

Next friday can't come soon enough. Im going to go out saturday to scout a new public spot that they just opened up this year for the first time not to far from where i hunt. I know there are a ton of deer in that area due to all the road kill we see there.

Checked out a few of the spots that I like to hunt in down by LaSalle! Can't wait for next Friday!

Not gonna make it out with Dukemichaels tomorrow but that is alright. Plenty of time before I can get on that property to hunt anyways! So instead Bass Pro tomorrow for a few things and gonna get my daughters bow set up so we can do some shooting this weekend!

They opened up a new spot across the river from the lots you like to hunt this year. i don't know if it is antlerless only like parks. its not part of them so you just sign in at the front gate. Its just east of the speedway on Rt 6

Nothing like spending the first day of hunting season unclogging the main water drain between the house and the road.

    Tomorrows another day though.

That's like me having to sit here telling you I'm not in the woods because it's too fricken HOT! It's 88 degrees here in SE Pa. I just won't hunt when it's like this. Frustrating as hell because I know those deer are on the acorns.
Oh well, we're supposed to get some rain and cooler temps come Monday, so I'll be getting in there then. Our regular season starts next Saturday:tu:

Well boys i got good news and bad news LOL. Bad news is that i just got home from a 3 hour trip to the emergency room because i tried to cut my left index finger off with a utility knife. Nothing a few stitches couldn't fix.:violin: Good news is that it isn't going to affect me shooting at all (first thing that i checked when i got home) so i will be in a tree come Friday afternoon.
