Yeah, I read of this story that these bucks on his land were nocturnal as hell also he snuck right into the middle of this crp field 3 hours before shooting light and was right in the center of all the beds, Then about an hour before light he heard deer coming in to the beds, right at legal shooting light he shot the biggest buck of his life 12 feet away from him that was asleep.

Small world having two of us from the huge metropolis of Chippewa Falls, WI on the same squad. Maybe you can put down another 13 pointer?? Thanks for remembering that big 8 Bowfreak, got another one similar to him hanging around this year. Sounds like you've had quite a month. Good and bad. Congrats on the youngster! I'll be hunting weekends only for the first 3 weeks of WI season until i finish up with my lawn care season. Then its everyday hunting in WI and IL! A bit about me...I'm 19 from Ct. Started bowhunting 3 years ago, put my first deer down with a bow in 2010 (spike) and have been at it since. I am going to college for polysomnography, was enrolled in ocean engineering but switched. The only priority which comes over bow hunting would be surf fishing. I hunt "bow only" public land (no firearms), I am fortunate enough to have 800+ acres about 1 mile from my house which is seldom hunted by many people at all. Once november comes around I will literally have it all to myself for the rut, because everyone goes else where for gun season. I have had cameras up for the last 3 weeks or so, I'm on some deer for sure, biggest on camera so far would probably be right around 110. I have bigger deer around, they just have not walked in front of the camera yet. I'll be out saturday the 15th and will hunt right through Dec 31st (2 buck tags and 2 doe tags).
well my plans for the wisconsin opener this coming weekend are going out hunting on saturday morning, going home to make sauerkraut with the family then hunting all day on sunday.
I hung another cam today in another area trying to figure out where exactly that big 8 is going or traveling through close to shooting hours in the mornings. I'm going to make it a mission to get this guy.
So did I get booted from the team? I just had a new baby a couple weeks ago and havent had time to check the site and check in until now.
