I will be out tomorrow morning. A lot of late morning movement the last 3 days according to pics. with the full moon.
Well guys, I hope I wont regret last night. As the light was fading I had a deer circle back behind me from my right. As he came out into the field I could tell that it was a decent buck but with the fading light and cut corn he was in I couldnt tell exactly how good he was. I had him at 25 yds broadside, drew back, could see him and my pins just fine but couldnt pull the trigger. I wasnt confident that he was big enough. My guess is he was between 120 and 140 (thats how little I could tell thanks to the dang corn). Hope I get another look at him next time Im out. Other than that no other deer were seen.
Had a 120" 8 in front of me this morning. Buck was tail winding and followed the corn edge with me. I let him go,to early yet. 6:45am. That's all I saw. Good news is that I didn't bump or alert any deer. Oh..at dawn had to fend off 2 giant coons from getting in the tree with me.
Passed a little guy tonight at 15 yards and had a doe at 20 yards but didn't have a shot. It was great to be back in the stand!
I went out and before I got into my stand I went and checked cam, decent 9 on camera thats it for bucks. Then walking back to my stand I jumped a huge deer that just walked away, probably a real nice 10 or 12
Were on the board!!!! Went out for my first sit tonight. This week has been rough so I want able to get out for the opener. Shoot a big old doe. Will post pics and story tomorrow when I have more time. Have to get the kids to sleep.
Nice work!! I didnt see anyhting but a couple of yotes last night. Will be out again for a couple of sits this weekend.
