The bucks I've been watching all summer have disappeared. I'll hunt a different property this afternoon. I usually don't hunt it until late October. It's worth a shot.

There are not too many days in the early season when the wind is coming out of the north. I usually save this stand for the rut. Crossing my fingers and praying for the best. [IMG]

I’ve spent the last 3 sundays at friends houses and at the bar watching the low life Vikings. That changes next week.

Time to get in the stand.

That’s awesome. Looks like a great shot putting points on the board. Great job.

This afternoon I went and checked a few of my cameras on some public land close to the house. Not the best pic but I’d send an arrow threw the lungs of this buck. 71728566648__E200AC1D-8942-477E-B184-546161A80195.jpeg

Nice job! No luck this evening for me. Only saw a doe and fawn. They were out of range and not what I'm looking for this early.

Hunting clothes are in the washer and grim reaper or screwed on arrows. I will be leaving 6:00 Saturday morning headed to hunt Illinois opener Sunday. I plan on hunting Sunday, Monday and Tuesday morning and then I have to return home from work.

So we needed rain REALLY badly but Im not one to go out in the rain and sit. If im out already well whatever, it is what it is. Unfortunately it has also been hot in central WI. Last thing I need around here is more hot and no rain- lost almost 800 acres just west of me to a wild fire not too long ago. Looking ahead the 1st week of Oct the temps plummet from 70-80s done to 40-50s! Hopefully ill have the right wind direction & my sciatic cooperates for a nice sit!

Good luck to those out in the woods! I have to choose my days early season but will be in the game more as we progress in season!

    Be well & saty safe!
