Headed for North Dakota opener here shortly. Get there in just about 7 hours just enough time to get in a tree to glass our spot from last year. Should be a fun, but very hot, few days.
Hello guys, I live in Mass Normally hunt Mass, CT and NY. This year is special My best bud and I drew zone 6 in Iowa bow tags. We leased a nice managed farm for the bowseason. A bit over 300 acres with a solid 160 acre block of timber in the center. Heading out Oct 7-11th to scount and set cameras and preliminary stands. Then back to hunt Nov 3 thru the 23rd. If we tag out earlier than the 23rd the house we have rented is only 10 miles from the missouri border so we will go jump on public land down there. Cant wait for the meyhem to begin!
Hi everyone, checking in here from Illinois. I hunt private property in the northern Chicago suburbs. Looking forward to helping Team 4 bring home the title!

I posted this in the Smacktalk thread, but I'm going to post it in every team thread so no one misses it: I want to take a minute and clarify a rule in the contest and emphasize the importance of getting your required two different photos with the buck, the bow and you in the pics for entry on the Official Scorecard. The rules read: Scoring system will be as follows: Each participant is allowed to enter ONE antlered deer as their “Buck Score”. This must be the FIRST antlered deer that you harvest during the season. We had an instance last season where someone in the contest killed a buck but failed to get pictures of the buck. This not only resulted in the buck not being counted towards the team total (of course), but also prevented him from entering another buck killed later. ONLY the first buck you kill can be entered, so make sure you don't make the mistake of not getting TWO good pics that have you, the bow and the buck in them.
My grandparents lived in Mt. Prospect. How far are you from there? Sent from my SM-G990U1 using Tapatalk

So little bout me...have 3 jobs during summer months and 2 the rest of the year. In law enforcement and mow lawns. Everything is super flexible thank goodness. Im 48 and hunt private in central WI. Have a few nice bucks on camera thus far, 1 in particular and I have some history. I can tell you hes at least 6 years old and I have a piece of his leg bone on my work bench. Im open to whatever happens when in the stand as the right oppertunity either will present or not. Anyways, busy during the summer months filling my freezer with fish. When there might be some grass starting to grow under my feet, i help train dogs for police/corrections work and basic obedience. Unless its my own dogs, then we mess around with personal protection work and blood trailing Sent from my SM-S908U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Hey team I’ve been posting updates of the first day in ND in the live from the stand thread. I forgot to copy/paste here. Just got set up 30 minutes ago. Feels good to be back in a tree. Note to self: practice setting up your stand a few times before the season starts. We do it so much but every year the first time feels so out of control. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
