So bucks here this last weekend must have been locked up with does. My night guys said that early this morning the bucks were running around like crazy (as so evidenced by my damaged fleet). So windy & gusty & i am sitting out although my gut tells me not to, but everything this year seems to be backwards....so im out....1 more day of trying & then back to work for a few ... Yeah my cameras have been quiet but I saw really good chasing last Friday and a small buck chasing on Saturday (but it was very slow for an all day sit). The gun season has put so much extra pressure on these deer. I had groups of people in the swamp I was hunting Saturday morning and Saturday night looking for deer they shot (few hundred yards from me). My confidence is starting to bend, but it will not break.

It's been stupid hot the last couple of days, but I've been stuck at work. Rain chance for tomorrow followed by cooler weather leading into the weekend. I plan to hunt Friday morning ahead of rifle season starting Saturday. I'm on vacation next week. The wind looks good for bowhunting Oklahoma on Tuesday and Wednesday. I need to check my camera and replace batteries there anyway. I have a couple of decent bucks showing up in Arkansas. One appears to be young, but it will be hard for me to let him walk. I saw two bobcats and a good buck this morning. I'm pretty sure I know where he is bedding. He was headed South into a cedar thicket. I spotted him at 150 yards. He had a big body, and I could see antlers at that distance. Sent from my SM-G990U1 using Tapatalk

I’ve been grinding. My number 1 I’ve been hunting for 4 years got taken yesterday. Demoralizing to say the least. Just have to find another to go after! I’ve been grinding with the rifle the last 7 days. Should be back out with the bow after this weekend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
