Was out last night and had good movement. 100” 8, little 6, 2 doe and a fawn. Might go to a new area tonight along the corn/beans. Would need to be a ground sit. Just don’t want to keep sitting in my one spot that’s real good for these W/NW winds.

Yeah we have a system coming in thats bringing 1-3" of rain for the entire area with heavy winds. Tomorrow and Friday are no go and Saturday I have a bean bag tournament for one of my best friends who passed away a few years ago. Looks like Sunday and Monday could be very good.

I actually have a two-day weekend to hunt this week. I have two hours' leave that I'll use Monday, so I can get a morning hunt in. I am on vacation October 22-28. Should be a great time to be in the woods.

Drove out to our leased farm in Iowa this weekend. Left thursday at 3 pm, arrived on Friday at 11 am. Met the land owner around 2 pm at the farm. He gave us a grand tour of the 350 acre farm till about 630 pm. Great guy. Amazing farm! Saw a bunch of deer Probably over 400 through the weekend there and driving around. We got 10 stands set up and left 8 cell cams out there till we go back in November. Was a long tireing weekend without much sleep but so much worth it. Left sunday night at 5:30 and got back home Monday at 4:30 pm. zzzzzzzzzzz Certainly not like here! Took a bunch of photos and videos.

That’s awesome. I added you as a friend but you don’t have to accept.

Feels like things are getting ready to get going here in central MN. I couldn’t take the entire week off before our gun season (Nov 4th) but I did take off Nov 1-3 for all day sits.

You can see my activities in live...
That's aiding the leaf blowing of drive sucked me into the woods behind the house . I trekked 3/4 of a mile all the way down to the swamp stand. On the way down I past several brush blinds, 5 tower and ladder stands and the old chicken coop blinds walk down wasn't bad but walk back was a tad rough, even on a cleared trail.
Now it will fill back in but winds usually help fix that. I can now get around safely in the dark and know where I am. This also let me know what's moving by uncovering tracks. It uncovered a bunch of heavily used paths. Good to do now before main rut..deer always use these trails. Big buck cross scent check them regularly.
